The new Pokemon all seem to be more like animals then Pokemon now. Even the cries seem that way...

Well there was never a set criteria for what a Pokemon was specifically supposed to be. Besides the name itself just says Pocket Monsters which could infer just about anything.

There coming back to the basics, the original 150(1) were animals it's just hard to notice beacuse you've know them for so long. So that's it!
