Underground

Post by JMan10992 »

What do you think about the underground a boring place to be or a new awsome edition.

I personally like the new underground part of the game because you can uncover some very usefull items and you can also link with friend and put in secret bases.

I like this addition, how else could I have gotten an insane amount of Cranidos and evolution stones? You don't even need a friend to enjoy it, and I like that, since where I live, nobody has the game because they don't have a DS or they're disinterested.

I like it since it's pretty fun and your more likely to find someone in a place you can have fun it without contacting other people, unlike the union room, which is just for finding other people, and thus without people, is boring.

It's not even possible to find Pokémon, wild or trained in the underground. (Though there is a Pokémon that can only be found in-game by going to the underground.) The menu doesn’t even show the Pokédex, Pokémon, or item bag, so it's theocracy impossible. (There maybe a way to hack the game so that it's possible, but that's besides the point...)

You don't find the Pokémon themselves, you find their fossils which you take to the museum in Oreburgh to revive.

I also like the fact that you can find fossils that aren't Pokémon but you can sell them for a lot, along with a bunch of treasure. In Diamond, you get Skull Fossils for Cranidos, and in Pearl you get Armor Fossils for Shieldon, and after you get the National Pokédex, you can get all of the fossils from previous games, but with varying ratios between the versions.

I like the underground feature.... ^_^

it's waymore fun than tapping the counter feature on the Pokétch up to 9999 then tap it again.

so far I found 2 Heart Scales, 2 Revives, and a Moon Stone.

I dunno what Heart Scales does or how it affects a Pokémon? <_<

I say it's a cool addition, but a bit disapointing. I think it could of been a lot better if you could have the option to battle other people you meet up with in the underground, so you don't need to go to the pokemon center to do so. Or maybe at least Wi-Fi. But that's just me. On the other hand, I find a lot of items underground I can sell for a lot, or I save more money by digging it up, not buying it. All in all, I say it's another good idea from Nintendo.

The underground was pretty cool.

It's hard to say you don't like a feature that gives you a ton of free items, especially if they are evolutionary stones. Another plus was that it could be enjoyed with a friend, or without one.

I wasn't into the secret base option though. I guess I missed the secret bases in Hoenn. ^^;

Is it me, or does the items found in the underground change after getting the national Pokédex?

I noticed I would find evolutionary stones and plates rarely underground before I got the upgraded 'dex.

After getting the national 'dex, I could not find plates anymore, but evolutionary stones became insanely common. I now have over 40 water and grass stones on my Pearl game, but haven't found any more plates. ._.;
I drop by every now and then... I shall never be just a memory! *cackles*
... Not back to the regularly scheduled thread... ^^;

yeah, the items and thier comoness change after the national. You'll find the old games fossils after you get the national dex, but you cant find them before it.
