That's putting it lightly. Here's the master formula for new episodes:

1)Have Ash trying to beat a new league, eventually he'll get every badge but lose to the Elite Four EVERY TIME
2)On his quest to get the badges, he runs into some new Pokemon and records it in his Pokedex
3)Meowth comes up with some far-fetched way in which "the boss" would like to have that Pokemon
4)Team Rocket tries to steal it, probably with a big Rocket Robot, but Pikachu saves the day and "Team Rocket blasts off again"

Considering that the horrible show catches the game way more flak than it deserves, Parasol Kirby starts the "Let's Kill the Pokemon Anime" club and conscripts Pikachu90000 into it.

I thought he lost to individual Elite 4 members...Oh well let's put this abomination behind us shall we?

Now that we have a sizable member base in the L.K.T.P.A Club, we should appoint officers.

I appoint me to the position of President, *loud cheers* and Pikachu to the position of Tyranical King and Official Conscriptor *standing ovation, three cheers for new officers*. Any volunteers for the Writer Assasin position?

Well, you can't blame the dubber's only, there's only so much they can ruin.
If Ash went up agaist the Elite 4 there wouldn't be meny eppisodes focused on it. (Only one, Ash would lose to the first one.)
