Anyway.
I honestly don't understand why they seem to be so popular... the only ones I've seemed to like was the GBA game Link to the Past / Four Swords, Four Swords for the Gamecube, and the even older Gameboy ones: Oracle of Seasons/Time. I bought Twilight Princess a few months ago because I wanted a Wii Game other than Wii Sports, and I regret buying it. I'm only on the first temple and it already seems boring. Without Multiplayer, Zelda games just seem so pointless and repetitive. (The Gamecube Four Swords would be so awesome if it didn't require a GBA to play multiplayer) And I remember me being so stimulated over playing it after school with my friends in Elementary school. it was... awesome, to say the least. But now I can't seem to get into them. :/
What is it about Zelda games...

I'm not the biggest Zelda fan so I probably can't tell you why it's go such a devoted fanbase but as a more casual player of it, it's a great puzzle game. The fantasy setting is also half the fun; you are a young swordsman who must resure the princess and save the world from the forces of evil. Twilight Princess enthrals you in this even further because, thanks to the Wiimote, you can actually swing your sword, fire arrows/hookshot etc yourself and immerse yourself further.
The production quality of Zelda games is amazing too, I can think of few games where as much effort goes into them as a Zelda game. These are reasons I play, anyway.

Zelda just isn't that fun.
It's... boring.
Like Mario,
where all games are a
reapeat of the last.
Zelda games are just really uninteresting.
They get boring fast.
It's not that challenging,
more... melatonous, than anything.
There are much more interesting and
more challenging games out there.
