Backgrounds maybe. Seems to me those are from a Snes game. SNES graphics are smooth! And a question, how do i gain a level in the RPG?

The FAQ should cover some basic questions. To gain a experience points you can either:

Fight in battles (gains a lot of experience points)
Post messages (gains a tiny amount of experience points)

Either way if you have max experience points you MUST make one post to go up to the next level, if you keep on battling you will stay at the same level and any experience points gained will be added on to the next level.
