Re: Wii or PS3?
I love the wii!
But it lacks the hardcore rpgs I love....
Hopefully it'll have more in the future,
since I don't have a ps3,
and can't buy the awesome Tales games that it has.

I'm more of a fan of the Wii60 combo.

Re: Wii or PS3?
Hm, that's tough...
I love how interactive the wii is and the virtual consle is a great extra feature, plus the wii has some decent games for it but on the other hand, the ps3 has extremely good graphics, Amazing games (Such as Metal gear solid 4 :P), you can customize the startup theme and on top of all that the Ps3 has a blue ray disc player (A normal blue ray disc player is about $200, I believe.) So I got to say the Ps3 is a better buy.

Re: Wii or PS3?
I wholeheartedly agree. Although the wii is all fun and interactivity, the ps3 is for hardcore gamers who prefer to play actual games, rather than a bunch of minigames put together. The Wii lacks RPGs, and its graphics aren't the best. When picking a system for functionality, the ps3 is better. I expect the ps3 sales quota to increase as time passes, due to the constant lowering of the price. And Raikou Trainer, what you said about all the Wiis selling out in minutes, think of the moms. A mom would love to spoil her child with a cheap $250 fun system rather than pay $600(at the time) for a system thats all about productivity. That's my say on the console war. I respect the Wii for its appeal to all kinds of gamers, and its revolutionary concepts, but the PS3 is a great system as well, and it is definately NOT garbage.
Well, Timmy, aren't you being a cotton-headed ninny muggins.

I agree, fazzy.
Unfortunatreely, since I lack the funds,
I had to settle for the Wii.
I mean, it has some rpgs and good games,
but the ps3 really is for more hardcore gamers and rpg lovers- like me.
I would love a ps3...
If only it cost less!

Re: Wii or PS3?
Over time I think my opinion has changed and I haven't seen much going for the Wii within the last year or coming up anytime soon with except perhaps the Wii Motion Plus device. Whereas I would have immediately said Wii beforehand, now I'm more inclined to perhaps suggest the PS3 if you can afford it. Not that I own one or plan to myself.

Re: Wii or PS3?
Ok, I lied. PS3 still doesnt have Miis but... lets compare...
Wii doesn't have any awards, but PS3 has trophies.
Internet on Wii is horrible. First, PS3 has hundreds of demos. Wii has like 2. 2nd, PS3 has add-ons to expand gaming experience. 3rd, you can do other stuff while something is download (not everything supports background download). 4th, you can download games on to PSP from PS3. You can download DEMOS on to DS via Nintendo Channel!
5th, If you make one friend, it doesn't stay on only one game. 6th, Playstation Home which is a great RPG, is also included. 7th, built-in browser. You don't have to download it. 8th, Playstation Network Cards come in money values (if that makes any sense. example: if I buy a $10 card, when I activate it, it puts $10 on my account) and I can buy it in any type of money! (US Dollar $, Euro €) 9, On checkout you have a option if you need a password to purchase something (not free stuff). I could talk way more about internet but I don't want to...
The Wii needs a Sensor and a Nunchuk (for somethings) You have joysticks and a built-in sensor.
PS3 supports USB devices.
You can just download one file to a USB to update.
PS3 controllers only need to be hooked up to the PS3 to charge and sync (pair)
PS3 supports HD.
PS3 has a wireless headset. (dont know if thats out yet)
There is a iPhone app that you put in your login info and your profiles information comes up.
You can play PS1 and PS2 games and download some.
The PS3 serves as a Blu-Rayquaza (lol) Player
I lied about News and weather. They have that.
They have 3-D Games (like movies 3-d)
DO I NEED TO SAY MORE? PS3 IS BETTER!

Re: Wii or PS3?
I just generally prefer the PS3...though I own both those consoles, and a 360 and can safely say that they're all rubbish.
