.Hack's a good series of games. I've finished 1, 2 & 3 and I'm about 40-50% of the way through four. Although you can play any of them as a stand alone, you really do need to play them all from start to finish (plus transfering all your stats and equipment can be a big plus). Shame they take 20-30 hours each... I really dont have that much time.

All so if you transfer them you get special stuff and areas. one of them is mentioned in .Hack//Another birth Vol. 1 Infecton.

Heh heh, that's nothing compared to the 70 hours I had to put in to complete Tales of SymphoniaWhoKnows_WhoCares wrote:Shame they take 20-30 hours each... I really dont have that much time.

to be fair, each game on it's own is shorter than a regular rpg game. But combine them all together ad your talking 80 hours at 20h per game and 120 hours a 30 per game... and suddenly you see why they put it over four disks (well, that and to get 4 times the money)
Technically you dont get special stuff and areas by transfering your data across... but some items (especially some rare weapons) can only be obtained in certain games which you can then transfer over. All bonus areas (i believe, i havent personally tired it) can be accessed in any of the games provided the root town is avalible. The only exception is the ghost quest in the 3rd game, outbreak, which you need bonus items found only in the 2nd game to actually do.
sometimes i think i know too much about some games

Wow that sounds like an even worse example of milking the cash cow than Pokémon

there are quest that can only be obtained by transfering because the don't exsist in the others, like, Delta, Hidious, Someone's, giant. The boss I found rather easy to beat. It was rather disapointing... In other news, I beat the next Phase. It was alittle to easy, (exspecialy compared to Sketh. <_<)...WhoKnows_WhoCares wrote:Technically you dont get special stuff and areas by transfering your data across... but some items (especially some rare weapons) can only be obtained in certain games which you can then transfer over. Delta Hideous Someone's Giant... that's the key words to part one's bonus/special/extra dungeon (you need to hack it with a T virus core right?) - you know you can play that dungeon in part one, you dont need to transfer your data to part two before playing the dungeon. You only get it after you've beaten sketh because its a bonus/special/extra dungeon. Like I said, as long as the root town is availible and you have the key words, you can access any dungeon in any game. ok, granted sometimes you'll need certian virus cores that you can only get in certian games (T core in part one, for example) but the dungeon's available throughout.
