My Latest Poems

Post by pikapower06 »

Never Read:

You've forgotten me, with the passing of the wind
Letting her tell her tails, that she should spin
Tears will pour across this vast, wide land
You've forgotten the souls that mend the hand
Left the jagged, wounded soldiers to cry out
Left the lies, that tell others around and about
You've forgotten love, letting people die in your wake
You've forgotten kindness, kicking it in their face

I remembered you, when the seasons came
I sent you things to help, but instead made you lame
You lack real mind, and courage to hold and show
You've forgotten what's it like, with bravery on toe
I sent you knowledge, you shook it away
I've sent you help, you scoffed a 'nay'.
I've offered my life, my love all for you
I But I can care, when you choose to lose

You lose for me, not only yourself
You're too prideful, never asking for help
I toss you omens, lessons to be learned
You've taken my writings, in my face you've burned
I would shun you, but alas I can not.
But you're left there, in your own drought.

You hurt the others, those that I should mend
You've scarred them, your own friends
Bruises line their silk complexions, and glow
Stories to tell, minds that they all show
You've learned nothing, never changing, over the years
And now, near the end, you try to pull me close and dear?

I think to leave you, let you rot in this place
But, unlike you, I won't scoff in your face
Your hand, outstretched, I manage to hold to keep
Memories forgotten, out the mind they leak.

Who Am I?

Who am I, many have asked.
Who am I, but another soul wondering the dead streets.
I'm a mother, working twice as hard for her kids.
I'm a father, fighting for their lives.
Who am I, but anonymous, annoying you constantly.
Who am I, making you laugh every day.
I am a girl, walking to school for her first day.
I'm a boy, just learnin' the ways of fishing.
I'm a couple, two people, enjoying their time alone.
I'm the tear that ruins it all.
Who am I, the question still is a puzzle.
Who am I, you have yet to guess.
I'm your ruler, instructing you properly,
I'm the student, learning his due
I'm the air, that gives you life
I'm the subsistence in which you thrive from
Who am I is never the proper answer
What am I doesn't quite fit
I am the girl, dying a year too soon
I am the boy, frantically ending it all
I am the laughter
The Joy
And the tears
I am the pain you hide from the world.
I'm not always there in your mind
But listen again, and you'll feel me
I am You.

Forget me, The Writhered Soul

Forget me not, the kid you see every day
Flowers come, they pour in their special way
Forget me not, during the summer days
Camps are calling, fun to be spent in its marry ways.
Forget me not, as I make another trip to home
Camps has left, and I'm sitting, all alone
Forget me not, when Fall rushes by, leaves stirring
Winters soon approaching, school's purring
Forget me not, tired body dragging, jacket covered

Forget me not, bruises hiding, body concealing
Forget me not, tears shedding, soul is weeping
Forget me not, as I show up, smile pounding
Soon it's over, soon it's all gone one more
Forget me not, for I am your friend
For get me not, for I am a heart to mend
I never forgot you, as the years drug on
I never once let my feeble mind over lapse

Forget me, though, for I am nothing, I'm just saying
Words and sentencing, a life not worthy praying
For me now, as I bleed on your door
Forget me, when I don't even know what I'm for

"I"

What is life?
What is the simple equation to it all?
What is the purpose that brings us here?
To live, and love?
To die in the end?
To find our roots?
To live for God's holy purpose?
What is life, in the very end?
What have you accomplished from it all?
When you die, who all will care?
Those that love you, that will die too?
Who will remember you, years from now?
Who will still call out your name in praise?
Or, in mere horror of its meaning?
Humans?
Or, are there beings you know of?
Ones that won't die out, as well?
Where does it all start, and where did it begin?
And how did time get its start, too?
Are we real, something to believe in?
Do we have a destiny?
A purpose to this life?
What is knowledge, but knowing more of something
And realizing how much nothing is left behind?
What is logic, without sense?
What are seasons, and why do they change?
What are you, and what am I?
Are you humans, man, Homo sapiens?
Why do we have fingers?
Why five?
Or...why only five?
Why not wings, or flippers?
Tails, or horns?
Why don't we soar, high into the air?
Why does gravity hold us back?
Why is it Earth's is so thick of it?
What are truths, and what are lies?
Who can you trust, when the world looks away?
Who do you know, when your mind is blank?
Why do you follow what you do?
Why do you choose what you will?
What are choices, why must we differ?
Why argue, when it leads to the same end?
We have the same sky, but what is that?
And the same air, and the same basic form?
Why do we fight, we kill, and die?
Why do we cry, laugh, and yell?
Why would we hit, kick, or scream?
What is pain, to cause others so much of it?
What is love, when you hoard it from the rest?
What is life?
What is death?
Why wait for death, and bring new life?
Why enjoy life, and cause more deaths?
Why wish for death, when life's book is still open?
Why call out for opening, when life's book closes?
You age, and learn, growing with knowledge
Experience passes through, to your very soul
But the smartest thing to know, in this world
Is that there's still so much yet to learn
Why know it all?
Why know nothing at all?
Why close your mind, to many possibilities?
Why shield yourself of so many facts?
Why not absorb it all in, soaking it up
like a kitchen sponge?
Why learn anything at all?
What are facts, figures, and the like?
But things that are proven?
And what of the proof anyways?
And where is the sense in this ridiculous speech?
If you see it, feel it all around you.
The love
The hatred
The yelling, screaming, and cursing
The blood, the guts, the lives leaving today
But feel it more, still in your body, the rest of this puzzle I say,
The lives, the living,
The laughter and the joy
Babies coming,
Cries of happiness, wonder to be shared.
Friends for loving,
Families (even if with just friends) greeting, hugging,
cuddling close together,
and pets and animals abound
Why is there love, and hatred united?
Why do death and life hold hands?
For you and me, in an imperfect world.
But what is perfection anyways?
And if your ideas were perfect for perfection, what of others?
Were they wrong, for their exclaims?
Why reflect on the bad, and never appraise the sunny days?
Why celebrate the joy, and never remember the bad?
Why choose one side, and block out the other?
Or stand neutral, and refuse given ideas?
Why do you follow your path?
For family, for belief, for love?
Why is that reason the right one
for you?
Why read this at all?

Neeat. I love these. Poems that rhyme are the best. The last one is wonderfully worded. :poketoungeb:

On the rhyming: I know what you mean! ^^ I love the way those types rub off in your mind. They seem to stick better too.

Last Poem Bit: Thanks. <33 That was listening to Pokemon's sound track, then became it's own thing. xD I've been listening to that song, "Brother my Brother" a lot. And it makes a lot of valid points that show war's pointless. But yeah, thanks. <333 (Before I get too 'sidetracked' in writing. XD)
