I've been trying to find a bright purple hair dye that won't fade. D:
Not much luck so far, since most stores are in Europe.
Help? Looking for a bright, bright bluish-purple that's very, very permanent.

Re: Purple Hair Dye
My girlfriend has actually just dyed her hair purple. It's not a bright purple, actually kind of dark, but the brand name is Starlight or something along those lines if it helps.

Yes, it's in the UK. I would have thought shops like Hot Topic would have stocked things like purple hair dye in America.

I've tried both Hot Topics within 50 miles of my house, and neither of them have purple dye. D;

I haven't seen Starlight.... perhaps Stargazer...?Pikachu3828 wrote:My girlfriend has actually just dyed her hair purple. It's not a bright purple, actually kind of dark, but the brand name is Starlight or something along those lines if it helps.
Brands like Stargazer & Manic Panic, are usually labeled as Semi-perminant dye... but the lastitivity depends on how long you left the dye in to work it's magic before rinsing...
for best result of terms of colour vibrancy, best to bleach the hair into a tone of blonde before colour.
Blonde highlights/streaks - BRIGHT coloured highlight/streaks.
all over bright blonde - all over vibrant colour.
but with semi-perminat the colour does gradually change as it washes out over several weeks, around from as long as possibly 3-4 months till all colour from the dye has washed out back to blonde - again, depending how long you left the dye in the first place.
there are some other brands out there aswell that offer perminant colourants that don't fade as much.
XXL Live by Shwarskoff's quite good for perminant hair colour, with fair long lasting vibrance - but have a good shop around on the prices beforehand.

Re: Purple Hair Dye
Well, thanks for helping, everyone, but I've just dyed my hair.... and it came out a bit more red than purple. .__.'
But I've decided that I'll just stock up on hair dye when I go to Europe. :3
Thanks again.
