RIP michael jackson & billy mays
They were both pronounced dead. Michael was first announced dead on Thursday and we are all probably aware of the fact. Billy Mays, well that shocked me. I swear that guy could have sold me cancer. The king of pop, and the king of cleanliness both dies at the age of 50.
Seriously what? That's 5 celebrities dead?

Re: RIP michael jackson & billy mays
While I really didn't care for MJ's music, I think he was misunderstood by many. I believe his Thriller album is best selling album of all time. I did like a few of his songs.
What I really don't like about celebrity deaths are that the mainstream media would often exploit the situation like they did with Anna Nicole Smith and what they are doing currently with Michael Jackson. Can't they just give the family peace? However sometimes the family would want to exploit the situation, like MJ's father, who promoted his book in a interview with CNN instead of grieving over MJ's death.
Billy Mays was great. I remember so many of ads, well because he screamed in so many of them. He seemed to really like his job.

It's sad how so many celebrities are dying these days...
Billy Mays was the best. He was so enthusiastic about the products he advertised.

Don't worry about it, many people have done worse than that.
You know what makes me mad? People who talked so badly about MJ, and now they acting sad... like really? You hated him 10 minutes ago and now you're downloading all of his songs? Whats up with that?

You know whats sad, all these other people who died got swept under a rug for MJ. They are still talking about his death... like what happened to all the other people?

What about the hundreds to thousands of other people that died around the same time?Circe. wrote:You know whats sad, all these other people who died got swept under a rug for MJ. They are still talking about his death... like what happened to all the other people?
The world can't mourn the death of every person who dies or it'd be perpetually sorrowful. The more popular someone is, the more mourners they'll have. Michael Jackson was a massive pop legend, I'm not really surprised he got the most attention.

Re: RIP michael jackson & billy mays
Actually that's easier to explain than you think. See what people have been going on and saying bad things about the pale shadow of a man Jacko has become. If you compare what he was like in the 70's and 80's to what he was like earlier this year when he announced his comeback gigs, he's no where near what he used to be like. But the music on the other hand, the music has been massivly influention to hundreds of current music stars - countless r&b, hip-hop & rappers have all said that they were influenced by Michael Jackson.Circe. wrote:You know what makes me mad? Music wise this is our times Elvis Presly. He may not have been great recently, but the music will live on for a long time yet
