Tropical Storm to hit Ireland?

Post by Pikachu90000 »

I was watching The Weather Network today and they said something about a tropical storm that might hit Ireland. Apparently it's name is Grace.

Here's an image of the storm:

Doesn't really affect you, considering it's going to affect Ireland. I don't believe New England or even the United States was effected by a single tropical storm/hurricane this year.

aparently its slowing down and getting weaker - ireland shouldnt see more than a few strong winds and a bit of rain - maybe a bit worse than normal really...

nothing to worry about really

Nope. We've never really had any hurricanes or tropical storm for a long time...

I who live in England, very close to Wales which is right next to Ireland, didn't hear a word about this. How silly is that? I a citizen that had a possiblity of maybe getting hit by part of the storm had no idea it might happen.

I feel neglected, I need a moment....okay, I feel better now. Thanks for the update news groups. I had to find out about this way after it happened on a Pokémon forum. How loving of them.

...wow I REALLY steped out of chracter then didn't I. Thats how annoyed about this I was.

Relax, it was to hit the west side of Ireland heading north east if I recall, Wales would have been safe from most of it...

Plus it wasnt even tropical storm status when it hit land... it had been downgraded completly - I'm sure Ireland heard about it at the time, and if it had been stronger than it was, it would have made the news as well... like the massive floods that just hit Scotland

Actually, it did hit Wales. But the storm was moving too fast for it to have any impact. Some say the storm was absorbed by a front, and some say it was still tropical.

It's the blue-green blob near on Wales.

Regardless, you'd think I'd of heard about it. The amount of "What if" situations running through my head are to many to count.

I just found it worrying that I was left in the dark about something that if certain conditions appeared it might have actually hit nearer to me. Even a small storm, is still a storm.

I go to university right on the very west coast of Wales and I had no idea about this. We've had some really rubbish weather lately but if the tropical storm did hit in any manner it was indistinguishable from the usual bad weather.
