union mission

Well a month or two ago I finished the union mission (evolve weedle to beedrill) and when I went back to the union station it gave me the reward for completing the mission and then recieved the sentret egg. I then noticed that I still had the Beedrill from the previous mission, but I didn't really think anything of it. I was just now looking for the sentret and couldn't find it, but still have that beedrill. I went back to the union station and the current mission is still to evolve the sentret (checked every box and couldn't find it). I was wondering if you could replace the beedrill I have with the sentret? Thanks.

You're supposed to keep the Beedrill, the text when you complete the missions says so.

I don't know why you didn't get the Sentret egg, however. Any information about what you did would be welcome. I have bumped you back a mission so you should now at the stage where you are given a Sentret egg at the Trainer Union.

Well I originally had it but then it somehow how disappeared. It is possible that I accidently released it when I was moving around my pokemon between my boxes.
edit: Thanks for reseting the the mission so I could get the egg again.
