Welcome to the Pokemon Adoption Agency! Upon starting and receiving your first pokemon you'll quickly find yourself at the Homepage, so let me give you a small tour around and maybe help you decide where you want to start checking things out, as well as help you faster get use to the interface so everything can start to make a lot more sense.
The Homepage.
This is something similar to what you will see upon coming to the Homepage. Yours of course will look different then mine but everything will still be in the same place. For some this can be a lot to look over at once but that's what your helpful guide here is for. I've broken this into eighteen different sections, labeled A through R, each of which I will be going into more detail on one at a time. So let's get started.
~
Section A:
1. Here you will see the username of the account you are currently logged in as. While it is against board rules to have more one account per person if you have siblings or friends who are also on the AA (Adoption Agency) and use your computer to access it you may wish to double check here that you are logged on to the correct account before doing anything else. Clicking on your username will redirect you to Your Account, where you can view/edit many things dealing with your breeder card, options for sharing your card on other sites, and how others view your information within the AA (Adoption Agency). Note that this does not effect your forum information, which is edited separately from the forums User Control Panel.
2. This is your current breeder level. Many activities around the AA add points to your breeder level such as interacting with pokemon, some trick house quests, some hourly gifts, some Luck Spin's, Some rewards for feeding the Greedy Swalot, use of the pokemon Ranch, and many other things. At certain level checkpoints you are able to obtain Perks based on your breeder level that allow you to have various abilities and privileges around the AA such as gaining more money, breeder experience, pokemon happiness, and so on. A link to view what Perks are available to, as well as more information about them, can be found in Section I.
3. The current amount of money you own. Money has many uses around the AA from buying Ranch upgrades to even buying pokemon, items, and pokedolls. Just like in real life it's always good to have a little extra money here at the AA, good thing it's pretty easy to get. You can gain money from interacting with pokemon (you also an extra 100poke if they level up), some hourly gifts, some trick house quests, Lucky Spin's, the Regional Lottery, The Greedy Swalot, other various quests, and of course by selling pokemon and items that you do not want or by holding an auction.
4. The option to Logout can be found right here. What clicking Logout does is it signs you out of the AA as well as out of The Pika Club forums. If you're using a shared or public computer it would be wise to click this when you are done on The Pika Club/Adoption Agency so that others cannot access your information. Should you Logout you will only see the current time and date in Section A, along with a small message telling you that you are not logged in yet.
5. The current time and date (server time). Things like day changes and other timed events around the AA always go off of server time. Things such as boats, berry harvest and watering times, the bug catching contest, the ranch, and much more, all run off of the server time and date. Your local time will only ever be used on the forums, everything else runs off of the server time.
Another link will appear up here if you have a New PM, clicking it will take you to your Inbox on the forums.
This information is displayed on every page in the AA.
~
Section B:
1. The sites logo. It acts as a link back to the Homepage as well as looks nice.
2. This small banner cycles through a few different icons upon refresh or page change. A few more examples would be.
They don't do anything and are just there to look nice and be interesting as a part of the main logo.
3: The icon at the right displays the rough time of day (server time), for the purposes of aiding breeders in obtaining pokemon that evolve at certain times of the day.
Morning is shown as a faded sun:
Day is shown by a much more solid looking sun:
Night is shown by a crescent moon:
Hovering over the image will also tell you the time of day if you're unsure.
This information is displayed on every page in the AA
~
Section C:
~
Section D:
This shows what species of pokemon has been picked at random to receive a 4x EXP gain for the day, meaning that when this pokemon is interacted with it will gain four times the experience it would normally get from being 'pet'. What pokemon is chosen changes every 24 hours and for some this may be a good chance to see pokemon you haven't yet, as people are most likely to put the pokemon in their party for it to be pet and benefit from the 4x gain.
This information is displayed on every page in the AA.
~
Section E:
The Event Box will be your best friend on the AA. It alerts you to many of the random and not so random events that happen while you are playing.
There are many types of alerts but the most common ones are when-
An item is sold in your shop. This will tell you what you sold and for how much money.
A pokemon of yours levels up. This will tell you what pokemon it was and what level they rose to.
An egg in your party hatched. This will tell you pokemon hatched from your egg.
A trade you posted is accepted. By clicking the name of the person you are able to visit their breeder card from where you can either send them a thank you PM or even just click their party as a thanks if you want to.
However these are not the only events that can happen, there are many others such as spotting someone's egg on the ground.
If this happens you have the option to take the egg for yourself by clicking the link that appears. Note that taking this egg counts as stealing and gives you bad karma.
Another event that can happen is a passing by flying pokemon drops a berry on your head. This free berry is added to your bag automatically.
When nothing much is going on this box will keep track of what the pokemon in your party are doing, from dancing to pondering the universe.
Multiple messages can appear here at once to, so don't be worried about missing anything, however alerts will vanish once you change the page or refresh it so be sure to read these whenever you see them.
From time to time you may also notice an alert saying that you can claim the Hourly Gift in this area. The Hourly Gift is a prize given away at a random time every hour that anyone on the site is able to take. Simply be the first to click this link and the prize is yours, though you normally have to be quick with it. The prizes range from, money, items, breeder exp, pokemon exp, and even eggs. If you miss it then don't worry, there's always next time.
The information in the Event Box will change every refresh or page change and appears on every page of the AA.
~
Section F:
1. The welcome message here will greet you and give you a warm fuzzy feeling of acceptance, as well as tell you the last time you logged into the AA (server time).
2. The Daily Events give you quick access to many of the places within the AA that change or renew every 24 hours (server time). A green check will appear next to events you have already completed for the day. I'll give a quick description of what each of these events are.
Egg Lottery: Here you can trade on of the eggs you own for another one picked at random. Note that there is a set list of pokemon you can obtain from the lottery, as such you cannot get legendary's, the selection is limited. What egg you give them does not increase your chance of getting a 'better' pokemon and be careful what eggs you give as you cannot get them back once you've put them into the lottery. I would recommend nicknaming any achievement eggs or other important eggs if you are going to do this. You swap eggs up to three times a day.
Elm's Abandoned Eggs:
Professor Elm gives out one free egg a day and should be one of the first stops for new trainers. He can give out a large variety of eggs and the possibilities change depending on what day of the week it is. Paying him a visit every day is certainly rewarding.
Professor Rowan's Lab: Rowan wants to learn as much as he can about pokemon, so everyday he'll ask to see a different one. Starting out you'll often find you don't have the pokemon he wants to see, but if you happen to then simply put it in your party and he'll reward you for your efforts. This page will show you what he wants to see and what the reward for bringing it is, normally money or breeder exp.
Diglett Cave: Diggles is hungry and wants to eat a berry. What berry he wants will change every day and chances are if you're new you probably won't have what he wants. The good news is that people often sell berries in their shops as well as some bird pokemon might be nice and give you some (See Section E) so this task is made a lot easier. In exchange for feeding him a berry he'll give you a pokemon egg. While Diggles doesn't have as many pokemon to choose from as Elm does there are still many rewards for feeding him and it's a good idea to do this when you can.
Trick House: Here you will be given a daily quest that will vary from day to day cycling between three different ones which will change depending on your breeder level. Prizes include money, breeder exp, or a pokemon (normally pretty rare).
National Park: This location is most famous for it's Bug Catching Contest which is held every day from midnight to 9pm (server time). Members can catch bug pokemon in the park all day long until it ends at 9pm at which time they are judged to see which is the strongest then released back into the wild. The members who take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are all awarded a prize depending on what place they took in the rankings, then at midnight the next contest begins. If you're looking for a little competition then this is a good place to do it. The park also gets visitors on occasion so keep an eye out.
Faraway Cave: A very dark looking cave it connects to some sort of far off land. Going there you're likely to bump into someone who's just come from the other side. The people who visit this cave give you pokemon eggs, the type of which will depend on the person that gave it to you. Certain visitors only come on certain days and seeing as this is a daily event it does change every day. However if you come to the cave when no one else is around you will be given the option to mine for items and pokemon eggs, provided you have the mining kit. You can go mining once every hour. Note that the hour is not counted from when you last mined but hourly. Meaning you could technically mine at 3:52pm, then again at 4:01pm, because the hour changed.
Train Station: Much like the cave, this train connects to a far away land, in fact it travels to many different places and all sorts of people can be found lingering around the station while the train is stopped here for the day. The visitor changing daily they each have their purpose, from determining your pokemon's happiness level's to giving you free berry seeds, and even increasing the chances of encountering a shiny pokemon. Sometimes there are no trains scheduled to make a stop here, in which case a security guard will be there saying that there are no trains due today.
Harbour: Sort of the opposite of the train is the Harbour. Rather then visitors coming here the boats that dock in the Harbour allow you to travel somewhere else. As of right now there are only three boats in service however there may be more in the future as they only go to three of the sevii islands. Each island has it's own purposes and helpful locations on them. If you have the correct ticket to board the boat docked in the Harbour then you're off to adventure new lands. When there is no boat in the Harbour you are free to fish for water pokemon, provided you have a fishing rod.
Pokenerd: A pokemon enthusiast he's obsessed with pokemon from generation two (Gold/Silver). He's willing to trade items and 'normal' pokemon to get his hands on them and has quite a few things you can't get anywhere else, unless you buy from another player of course. While it takes a good bit of work to be able to change pokemon into generation two it's well worth it to have a chance at getting the things he has to offer as well as there are many other benefits to trading with him.
~
Section G:
The records. This box will show various records held by members of the AA such as who currently holds the most money, the highest breeder level, highest pokedoll collector level, newest and strongest pokemon, and so on. Clicking on a users name/picture will take you to their breeders card. However if the Newest or Highest Level pokemon are not in their breeders party you will get the following error.
From here you have the option to go to the users breeder's card instead. The information shown in the Records box cycles every page refresh and changes often.
~
Section H:
Your Account information is shown in this box and is probably your second most useful tool for keeping an eye on your information, only being second because you can only see it on the Homepage. The first being Section A.
1. Here you will see the trainer sprite you are currently using, your username, and your personal message, all of which can be changed on the Your Account page talked about in section A.
2. This shows your current breeder level, your current breeder exp (the total you have/amount needed to reach your next level), and your rank/title, which is determined by the perks that you choose.
For some this will be the end of the information in this box. However if you have pokemon in the Breeding Centre or Ranch they will also have information displayed here.
3. Breeding Centre pokemon will appear here as icons allowing you to easily see what you have in the Centre as well as if they have an egg yet and what time and date you put them in. Should your pokemon have an egg ready a link to collect it will also appear here.
4. Here you can see the pokemon that are roaming around in your Ranch. A basic ranch can hold up to five pokemon (one line), a medium ranch will display ten (two lines), and (I assume) a large ranch can hold fifteen (three lines). [The capacity of the large ranch has yet to be confirmed and I shall edit this information once it has been] Clicking on the image of any of the pokemon in your Ranch will take you to the Ranch page where you may view further information about them as well as remove them and replace them as you wish. Simply hovering over the image will show you the pokemon's ID number, nickname, and level. Note that their level will not change until you remove them from the Ranch.
~
Section I:
This is your Main Menu and your gateway to the rest of the AA, as well as a quick way back to the Homepage and to the forums. It is shown on every page of the AA and is your main tool for navigating through the many pages and features.
Your profile: As I briefly said in Section A you can edit many things about how others see you from here. This page allows you to access your own breeder card to view it just as others see it, edit your personal message, trainer image, card base, emoticon, and allows you to interact with a random pokemon belonging to a random AA user. Random pokemon interaction can be very helpful for newbies who want to click more pokemon but don't know many people or just for fun to see others parties, and possibly see a pokemon you haven't seen before. There's also a forum topic called The Easy Clicks List that is useful for this as well. From this page you can get the links/codes to share your card on other forums, there are many options to choose from to insure it displays the way you want it to. Should you have issues with sharing your entire card you can get links/codes to share individual pokemon from Your Party, so long as the pokemon are IN your party. Pokemon cannot be interacted with if they are in your box.
Your Party: On this page you can pet your own pokemon to give them experience, or quickly change their nickname, add or remove an item they are holding, or share their link with others so they may pet them. Note that you can also pet your pokemon if you view your breeder card, however the other options are only available here. Other then petting you can do all these other options with pokemon that are not in your party by clicking them in your box. Here you can also view information about the pokemon in your party such as when they were conceived, hatched, what item they're holding and what it does (if they're holding one), and how many interactions they've had not only today but in total since they were conceived.
Your Bag: This is a list of all the items you have collected while running around the AA. There are two main types of items kept in the bag, key items and regular items. Key items have a yellow background and can only be used, not discarded. These are normally important items obtained from quests or other special places that are helpful to you in one way or another. In most cases using them from the bag will serve no purpose and you'll have to go to another location to do anything with them however there are exceptions to this. Normal items can be used or thrown away if you really no longer want them and do not wish to sell them. Berries can be fed to pokemon by clicking use and selecting the pokemon you wish to feed as well
as stones can be used to evolve pokemon in this way.
Your Pokedex: Anyone who has played the pokemon games will know the pokedex's purpose is to track your progress on your quest to catch (or in this case breed and collect) them all. Everyone on the AA aims to eventually register every single pokemon as caught though with almost 650 pokemon this task can seem daunting. Don't worry though, your fellow breeders are here to help you and soon enough you'll come to see that you're finding new pokemon around every corner. The pokedex is divided into five different sections, one for each of the five regions that the games took place in. The pages will display only the pokemon that first appeared in that region such as Pikachu was introduced in the first game whose region was named Kanto, so Pikachu would be found on the Kanto page. Any pokemon you have at least seen will be recorded in your pokedex, being moving and animated only if you own one of your own and being faded if you do not. Note that if you own a pokemon and then lose it due to a trade, selling it, or some other way, it will still be counted as caught in your pokedex. Your total Pokemon Seen and Pokemon Caught count can be seen on the bottom of this page as well.
Achievements: From this page you can unlock rewards for various milestones or other accomplishments you may have completed around the AA. There are two types of these, general and trainer. General achievements are the most common and as such there are many of them, where Trainer achievements are those linked to the Trainer Union. On either page you will see a list of achievements faded out, waiting to
be completed. These are composed of a small image based around it, the name, it's description, and the type of prize you get for unlocking it. Some clearly state what must be done to complete them in their description such as “Play the game for 24 hours”, however others can be riddles or missions you won't quite understand until you come across something later on. Sometimes hints to how to solve them can be found in their name or picture as well, so think hard and look at them closely if your stuck on one. Some achievements however are listed as ??? meaning they are a total mystery, often times these are hidden for a reason, to avoid spoilers. To unlock an achievement once you've met the criteria you need to only click the link that appears next to the achievement.
Note that there is no notification when you complete an achievement and you can only claim your prize from this page, so check back often.
Perks: At certain breeder levels you unlock Perks, this is the page where you can go to pick the ones you want for yourself. There are many different types to choose from and every Perk milestone you are given the option to choose from three different ones. Note that once you've chosen a Perk you cannot change it, so pick wisely. Also note that you will not be given the option of the same Perk twice. So don't think that you can pass one up and pick it next time. Perks can greatly change your experience at the AA and are a way to give everyone their own unique abilities that suit their playing style. Perks do not overwrite each other, meaning that the ones you gain at lower levels are still in effect even once you've gotten higher ones. You will be unable to gain money or exp from pokemon interactions if your next Perk is available to you, so in a way you are notified, however there is no other way to know aside from checking back here every five or ten levels or so.
Explore: This takes you to the main 'map' or as some call it the “Overworld”. There are many places to check out here including but not limited to those found in the Daily Events box. Looking around this area at least once a day is a good idea as you'll find pokemon, quests, and other events often. Many things change here daily, even if they are not a Daily Event, and there's always something to do. There are many events that take place at certain times of the day, randomly happen when clicking on a page, or that require you to go searching around to find them, so becoming familiar with the Overworld can be just as important as the Homepage. There are descriptions of each area within this section and as such I will not be going into detail on that, as well as there are new places you can unlock to explore, so to avoid spoilers I will leave this at that.
Breeding Centre: Here is your personal Breeding Centre. If you leave a male and female pokemon here they will produce an egg of the female's base evolution. Meaning a pair with a female Flareon and a male Poochyena will create an Eevee egg, as that is the female's basic form. It takes one hour for an egg to be made, then another for it to hatch. [As of now eggs that you breed yourself always default to an hour hatching time no matter their rarity.] Note that you cannot put two pokemon into the Breeding Centre if their egg groups are not compatible as well as genderless pokemon and certain 'baby' pokemon are unable to breed.. [I plan to create a guide on egg groups at some point, when that is finished I will add a link to it here.] Breeding pokemon to sell or trade is a good way to get a bit of a head start for newbies and is a great way to get some of your favorite pokemon quickly or that one that you can't seem to find anywhere. When putting a pokemon into the Breeding Centre you will be able to view normal information such as your pokemon's name, gender, conceived and hatched dates, as well as it's level, however a rather interesting feature is that you can view how many times that pokemon has been bred, something that is only viewable here to my knowledge. When an egg is ready a link to collect it will be displayed on this page, replacing the text that states when you put the pokemon in.
Trade Centre: On your quest to collect them all you will no doubt need to trade with someone at some point. You won't be able to collect every single pokemon on your own and this is where others come into play. By trading a pokemon you have for another one someone else owns you can help increase not only your own collection but the other person's as well. Upon entering the Trade Centre there are at least two options available to you, to create a new trade or to view ones that are already up. Creating your own trade allows you to not only set up a public trade that can be accepted by anyone but also gives you the option to send a trade to a particular user. You can also send a trade request to a specific breeder directly from their breeder card. When posting a trade you can set not only what pokemon you want but also the length of time the trade will be available for and the gender of the pokemon you want. Note that when accepting trades that are gender specific only the pokemon that meet the requirements will be shown. In order to create or accept a trade you must have the required pokemon in your box. Also note you can only request pokemon that you have at least registered as seen in your pokedex. If you have a trade set up you will have a third option to edit the trade, from here you can delete the trade and remake it how you wish.
Shopping Centre: Here is the heart of the AA's member driven business. Where users buy and sell a wide range of items. Clicking in here you'll be greeted with several search options to help you find anything you may want or need. Using the drop down boxes you can look for a specific item or pokemon (provided you've seen it before), or if you're just interested in browsing you can pick a shop at random and see what they're selling and for how much. Note that prices are set by the sellers and it's always wise to look around before buying something to see if someone else may have it cheaper. The search function is very useful for that as it not only lists what shop is carrying the item or pokemon you want but also it's price in each. Once you've set up a shop of your own you'll have the option to sell items and pokemon as well, and there are several upgrades that can be done to expand the maximum size of your inventory. Adding and Removing things from your own shop can be done through the Edit/Restock Your Shop link as well as you can change the name of your shop or it's slogan/blurb/catchphrase at any time from here. You'll also find a link to view your shop as others do to get an idea what it looks like. A link to a users shop can also be found on their breeder card.
Pokedolls: The second branch of collecting here at the AA, after coming here for the first time and getting set up with your starter pokedolls this will be your hub for anything and everything dealing with these little guys. Just like with the pokemon, your goal is to collect them all by trading with other players, buying them from the site-run shop, or obtaining them from the Hourly Giveaway that gives out free pokedolls every hour to whoever gets there first and claims them. Pokedolls give out 'Collector Exp' which is separate from your Breeder Exp and only counts towards your 'Collector Level'. Every five levels (Collector's) you are given a promotion which unlocks many different pokedoll focused things and give you a free rare doll. Note that while the number of pokedolls given out by the Hourly Gift is limited, the number one person can take is not, so get there fast if you want them. Also note that the shop can sell the two of the same pokedoll for different prices as well as the Regional Market can be buying and selling the same pokedoll, often buying them for more then they're selling them. This is a good way for many to make money, and it can also happen that the shop is selling what the Regional Market is buying, however stocks are limited in the Shop.
Your Boxes: From here you can sort and manage the pokemon and eggs that are
not in your party. There are several sorting methods and everyone normally has their own way of doing things. Some people sort by male and female, some by evolved and non-evolved, some have boxes with just their favorites, some by what generation the pokemon were released in. Whatever style you choose be sure that you'll be able to find what you need easily and that it works for you, because trust me, it's better to get organized before you have hundreds of pokemon then after. Not only are there boxes to help with sorting but you'll also find ways to change how your pokemon are ordered within the boxes, sorted by ID number, Level, or by their Pokedex number. Note that changing the viewing order applies to all boxes, not just the one you are currently in. You can edit your boxes looks, name, as well as if it's your default (A lot of things around the AA check your Default Box only and any eggs you obtain go to your default) By clicking a pokemon in your box you have the options to switch it with a pokemon in your party, nickname them, release them into the wild never to be seen again, change the box they are currently in, or give them an item to hold. Note that not all items can be held by pokemon.
Your Ranch: Pokemon left to roam in the Ranch gain experience and happiness for every hour they are there as well as you can gain breeder exp and Ranch exp by leaving your pokemon here. Your Ranch gains levels as it is used and upgrades for it are bought in the Shop, eventually allowing you to expand the size of your Ranch upon reaching certain levels. Pokemon left in the Ranch can accumulate to quite a large sum even after just 24 hours and this by far one of the fastest leveling methods available currently. Going in here for the first time will allow you to set up your Basic Ranch, which can hold five pokemon and is rather empty, however this is easily fixed through use of the Ranch Shop. Buying add-on's to your Ranch not only gives you a large chunk of Ranch exp but can also add to the amount of exp, happiness, breeder exp, and so on that you gain each hour, as well as grant certain privileges such as giving your pokemon a chance to find items while they are roaming around. However you will need to maintain these add-on's as well as mow the grass in your ranch or your pokemon will gain drastically less exp and so on. Maintenance is quick and easy though, so no worries, just be sure to make certain everything is in tiptop shape before removing pokemon from your Ranch so they can get the full benefits. Note that pokemon do not gain levels until you remove them from the Ranch and as it stands now they can only gain levels one at a time. Meaning that you may have to insert and remove your pokemon from the ranch several times for it to catch up in levels, you may also put the pokemon into your party and it will gain levels through clicks until it is caught up to where it should be.
Regional Lottery: This works much like the actually Lottery if you're familiar with it. At the start of the week 1,000 money is thrown in to start the 'pot' and more money is added as tickets are bought. Each ticket you buy increases your chances of being picked at the end of the week as it selects one winning ticket at random. This means that the more tickets you own the higher your chance to be picked is, but there's always a chance that the person who only bought 1 ticket could win to so it really is a gamble. The tickets only cost 10 money each and the winning ticket is picked on Sunday, at which time the winner has until midnight (server time) to claim their prize before the next Lottery is started. From this screen you have the option to buy 1, 10, or 50 tickets at a time and the current jackpot total is always shown, just for the sake of tempting you. The more people enter the less the odds of winner are, however the higher the reward is, so as it says, do you feel lucky?
~
Section J:
This is where the important news is posted. Normally things such as notices about updates to the site or any major issues affecting the AA will be addressed here. Minor bugs, issues and the like will be found in the bugs forum, this is for much larger matters that greatly effect all of the AA, such as the server crash seen in the above picture. These messages come directly from the Admin's, WhoKnows_WhoCares, and Pikachu3828, and if there's a new one you would be best to read it and see what's going on. This changes circumstantially and is always stamped with a title, the date it was posted, and the name of who wrote it.
~
Section K:
This is your friends list, well actually, this is mine, but you get the idea. This is a quick way to access your friends as well as the people you interact with often. Simply by clicking their name you are taken to their breeder's card, so that you may create trades with them, click their pokemon, send them PM's, or visit their shop. Adding people to your friends list is quick and easily done by clicking the Add as friend link shown on every users breeder's card. Adding someone to your friends list requires no confirmation on their part and does not in turn add you to their friends list, this is a personal list of the users you wish to keep tabs on. Deleting a person from your friends list also does not notify them. Note you can also add people to your foe's list in a similar way but there is no “Foe's List”. The Friends List appears on every page of the AA.
~
Section L:
Here the 10 most recently active breeders. These are the last ten people to be doing, well, anything within the AA. If you're looking for someone to do a trade with or ask a question then these are the people most likely to answer you at the moment. There's a form of this on the forum that shows all the active users on the entire site, however these members may or may not be active in the AA and could just be browsing the forums so this list is still the best way to see who is active in the Adoption Agency. The forums Chatroom is also a good place to ask questions if it isn't as urgent as there is normally always at least someone around who won't mind giving a new breeder a hand. Clicking on a users name will take you to their breeder's card.
~
Section M:
These are various statistics of the AA that are sometimes interesting to look at. They are much like the random pokemon facts near the top of the page except they only pertain to the AA and do not cycle. Here you can see the total number of breeders who have signed up to the site, how many total pokemon there are, how many of these pokemon are still eggs, and how many pokemon would belong to each breeder if they were split up evenly. You will also see the total number of interactions with pokemon and the total combined level of all pokemon on the AA, interesting indeed.
~
Section N:
The Weekly Promo. It pretty much explains itself in it's box. Every week we have a different promotional giveaway for you to pick up. It could be a new Pokemon, a trainer image or a card base. The box will display what the promo is for the week and if you've collected it already or not. If you haven't a link will appear here for you to do so, if you have then the link will be replaced with solid text, . The promo is available to collect all week and does not change until the next Monday, so no rush, but don't forget about it. Eggs are automatically sent to your default box where as you can change your trainer image and card base from the Your Account page. If you miss a promo pokemon don't worry too much, trades for the promo normally float around the trade center for a good while after the promo as well as other breeders are normally willing to trade it to those that missed it. However trainer images and card bases cannot be gotten again until they cycle, which is once a year. Note that the promo list can change from one year to the next and certain card bases and trainer images may be 'retired', meaning only older members will have them and there is currently no way to get them again.

Section O:
This is the awesome copyright that keeps the AA from getting in trouble with the law as well as protects certain ideas and features that were come up with and put in place by the Admins. While some may not even notice it I think we should all give the copyright a little love now and then and say hi, without it who knows where we would be, no pun intended. This can be found at the bottom of every page, watching you.

Anyway I hope this was somewhat helpful and I'm open to suggestions on how to improve it or information to add. If you have comments/questions/or corrections feel free to PM me about them and I'll see what I can do. I know my English isn't the best and I sometimes have trouble explaining what I mean so PLEASE let me know if anything is unclear or if I've forgotten to include anything. This is here for everyone's benefit so I'd like it to be as complete and accurate as possible. Happy pokemon breeding everyone!
