I hate the English patch, doesn't translate everything. I'm not going to be playing, so I don't spoil the game when it comes out in English.

Basically follows G/S so I'm just going through it so I can get to Red. Plus I can read some Japanese

There's no new Pokémon or anything and aside modifications it's just Gold/Silver again so I can wait

Plus imo It wouldn't be worth translating a game that's going to be out in english anyways.

I have the ROM And Emulator But the ROM Image Crashes after the Beginning Oak Scene.

Iv got 16 badges, done the elite 4 twice, then shifted the pokes in my team over to Plat' as I basically just wanted a headstart on the english speaking world..

One annoyance is, and its a good thing for HG/SS. You use the touch-screen for all menus, getting into them that is.
No matter how much I tap the clock in Plat, it aint gonna open my bag. :C

i was like that when diamond and pearl came out - kept pressing start to try and get into the menu... in fact if i'm tired while playing - i STILL do it

Same thing happened to me. I was playing the 3rd Gen games a while ago and when I tried to play the 4th Gen games, I forgot Start doesn't bring the menu up anymore. I kept on hitting start for 30 times until I started bashing random buttons until I realized X was the magic button. :-x

its even funnier for me playing 3rd gen games on a DS console... X and Y dont do ANYTHING on the the old games and i STILL press them

I have downloaded a ROM but I'm trying not to use that or watch videos on youtube, but I'm playing crystal angain on my GameBoy colour and catching low level pokemon on platinum to trade to Soul Silver when it's in the UK. I'm hoping to buy it on the Sunday because I'm at school on the day it comes out.
