Well I'd be a ghost type gym. So maybe something similar looking to the forest manor that you find Rotom in. As for the puzzle... I wouldn't have the slightest idea.

my gym would be a starter gym

My Pokemon Team Would Be:

Lv. 45 bubblebeam, peck, growl, doubleslap

Lv. 43 slash, flamethrower, growl, wil-o-wisp

Lv. 44 muddy water, take down, growl, water sport

Lv. 42 razor leaf, take down, sythesys, giga drain

puzzles would be quizzes.

Can't remember what it was,but it was pretty cool.

Ok - two things... one, this is the wrong place - this is probably more apropriate in pokemon discussion - so i've moved it.

2, as Kikyo said, we ran a competition run back in 2007 on this very subject. You can see the entrants in This Thread

as part of the prize, each winner had their trainner and badge they designed actualy made into game like sprites. (some of them didnt post these designs in the thread itself, but did to me afterwards). While the original Gym Leaders (and elite 4 members) isnt veiwable at the moment - you can see the sprites i made for the prizes in This Thread

but hey - keep coming up with ideas, i love to hear what people would do for their own Gyms.

Mine would probably be a speed gym

For my party I would have: Ninjask, Starmie, Persian, Sceptile, Aerodactile, and Alakasm. The puzzle would probably be a countdown timer, inside of a maze. Trainers would not affect the timer.

My gym would be a darkness gym. during battle trainers would have to solve puzzles as well as battle, and each riddle they solve turns on a light for the battlefield. My team would be weavile, sandslash, absol, tyranitar, mightyena, and umbreon.

Ok, that'll have to do. The puzzles would be:

You have to climb like a ghostly tower. It's pitch black, so you can't see anything but your character. At the bottom there are like hints in an odd style, like rhymes. You have to use the hints to climb the tower.

my other gym would be a ghost gym. the 8th gym.

my team:

Lv. 47 Hypnosis, nightmare, dream eater, toxic

Lv. 49 Calm Mind, toxic, gravity, earthquake

Lv. 48 ice shard, hail, ominous wind, confuse ray

Lv.50 power gem, mean look, perish song, lucky chant

Lv. 47 embargo, shadow ball, shadow claw, dark pulse

the puzzle would be a maze with trainers lurking at every turn, where beating them makes the light brighter. (like bradley's gym only much bigger)

My gym would definitely be dark/pokemon with dark moves
Itd be a gym with a very dim lit city that seems to be abandoned, like there would be a few houses scattered about. And you'd have to turn puzzles about inside them to make the moon overhead shine through a window or something like that. And a key would become visible and obtainable and you'd move onto the next room and across wooden planks into other windows of other buildings. And slowly the moon would wax and youd meet the gym leader on top of the highest building there or something under the full moon. There would be glowing planetary symbols revolving around the battlefield.

After winning you obtain the TM Dark pulse : D

Thats all ive come up with. I just like the parts where you do go through buildings and wrecks in pokemon.
