Not including evolutions there are about 90 Pokémon released so far. Not all are available at the moment due to some being promos for weeks later in the year but there are easily about 60 different Pokémon not including evolutionary lines available right now.
The most likely reason for seeing much of the same Pokémon is that, while randomised, everybody starts out with a limited pool of Pokémon. The Agency has only been opened for a few days now so most people are still pretty new and will mostly have the Pokémon they started with.
I haven't been on this site for about a few months now and this happens. It looks like a good replacement for the former RPG that used to be on the website years ago. There's a fair amount of games and such and I'm glad the breeding centre is back.
I guess this means that the old egg adoption thing is dead, but this is much better.
- Being able to see the pokemon's gender, while on your card and in your box (as an alternative to putting them in your box and going to breeding center to check) would be convenient.
- Being able to organize the pokemon on your card in a way that isn't "oldest first"
- Being able to nickname pokemon, at least having an appearance on your card page, if nowhere else.

These two features are planned for the next update, the first of which already having been completed.
I went on the Egg Lottery and gave away a Heracross egg. :'( ... :lol:
I think I've gotten the gist of this. It has great potential... though it would be nice to have a 'click on all' option. But you would have to click on a pokemon separately to record it in your Pokedex.
