The Pokedex Project
Welcome to the Pokedex Project. This project (or thread) is designed to keep track of all the Pokemon released on the adoption agency so far, along with the location or method of getting them. This project will require your help as well, letting us know if you spot a pokemon not on the list, or where you got a pokemon we dont have a location/method for.
The list currently goes in National Dex Order, the same order as your Adoption Agency Pokedex
So far there are several methods for getting Pokemon.

Archeology Sociaty - When you get the Advance Mining kit, a Cave becomes available to mine eggs from through the Amber Institute
X-Mas Egg - On Christmas Day, a Special Promo egg appears - this denotes what pokemon were available on what year's X-Mas day
Trick House - One of the quests at the trick house hands out an Egg as its prize.
Bill - Bill gives away this pokemon every Friday
Weather - Found in the fields outside of the Weather Institute every Friday
Meteorology - Handing something over to the Meterology lab will get you this pokemon a few days later

Blue - Blue's house found in the Wealthy district trades you any Gen I sprite pokemon for any of these Gen 5 ones
Pokénerd - The Pokénerd wants your Gen II sprite pokemon, but he could trade you one of these for it
If a Pokemon can come from different Sources, both will be listed by the pokemon
Evolutions are NOT listed on this project, only base forms are, since there are no ways (yet) of capturing Evolution pokemon without evolving them - however we will keep track of what a Pokedex should be reading if you've seen every Pokemon including Evolutions that are out there. The number of Pokemon Seen is now kept track off via the Hall Of Fame Most Seen section.

Not that that confirms the lottery as the only source for them.

Re: The Pokedex Project
Since the Pokémon you get on a friday is different to the Pokémon you get on a wednesday, I'm going to need to know which day hippopotas shows up at Faraway Cave before I add it to the master list

Re: The Pokedex Project
Its come to my attention that it is possible for some pokemon to be obtained from more than one place, therefore i am now adding both sources to pokemon if they come from a secondary source - phanpy, for instance, comes from either Elm or the Lottery.
I imagine the confusion with Goldeen was also a product of this overlap, but since the second source wasnt mentioned, i cannot add it to the list
Also, i've put a note about why Evolutions are not included in the list - however, if you want to check your pokedex 'seen' number to make sure you've found them all, i will be tracking that number at the top
