Dragon Scale

Okay, I am still after one of these things, how do I get one?

I have tried:

* Theif on Bagon.
* Theif on Horsea.
* Theif on Dragon Tamer Nicolas (in meteor falls).
* Beating Dragon Tamer Nicolas 5 times.
* Catching Bagon in the hope that it held one.
* Catching Horsea in the hope that it held one.

Is there a trick I am missing?

you are supposed to find it somewhere. on an island or something. havent played ruby and sapp for a while.

This is what I got on Serebii: Item:Dragon Fang Dis:Increases the Attack Power of Dragon-Types
Where:Meteor Falls (After 5th Battle with Dragon Tamer Nicolas)
Item:Dragon Scale
Dis:Evolves Seadra during Trade Wild Pokemon
Where:Wild Pokemon
Also it's RARE!

you have to find a bagon holding dragonscale.

horsea also can have a dragon scale but both pokemon rarly have it

Well, I've gotten a question about what someone said, then a comment or two. @_@;
So Serebii and Nintendo's game guide (I think in both Ruby and Saph) says that you can get a Dragon Scale from Dragon Tamer Nicolas, but... I've never gotten one. I've tried stealing it too, but nothing... >_>; (stealing from the trainer got my Silver Powder from a different trainer, so I thought that would work...)

If the attack does damage, and the user isn't holding an item, it should work... *sweatdrop*

In the end, I got a Dragon Scale from Horsea after spending an hour or two doing nothing but using Covet on wild Horsea. Then Emerald came out, and it was lying around somewhere in the game. Yaaay... X_<;

no, dragon thamer nicolas give you a dragon fang if you defeat em 5 or + times, dragon scales steal from horseas its rare!!!(your stealing pkmn need to be free of items, no item holding)!!! 8)
