I will be returning to university this coming Saturday (25th September) after which I will be around very sparsely if at all until I return for winter holidays (around 18th December). A fairly significant part of the time taken to create an update is used up simply thinking of new features. Since winter holiday is fairly short and I don't want to spend all of it sitting at my computer making updates, I thought I'd open up a part of the creation process to the players of the Adoption Agency.
This is your chance to tell me what sort of stuff you want to see in the next update. Give me ideas and suggestions for new features, Pokémon, places and more! I won't guarantee I'll use every single idea but if I feel it's a really good one I'll implement it Ideally the features for this next update should be fully user made!
I won't be viewing this topic for a few months so the idea is for me to come back and have this topic bursting to the brim with ideas
Being able to see pokémons' nicknames when you interact with them and at the Trade Centre (it would help people figure out which pokémon they want to keep and which they want to trade away)
Different sized trainer cards that you can put in your signature. The one we have currently is too tall for some other forums
I'd like to see a fishing contest along the lines of the bug contest, maybe judged on size rather then strength.
Maybe a city as well where we could trade pokemon with people of the city for one we wouldn't normally be able to find.
A shop idea would also be nice, where maybe we could trade in pokemon and each one gives you a certain amount of store credits which you can use to buy other things. It would be a nice alternative to just releasing them.
Also I would love it if we could see the nicknames of other peoples pokemon when we pet them
I think, just because I like to try and make things as fair as possible, that if someone wins the bug contest (or any contest in the future that might happen everyday) they should not be allowed to participate the next day to keep from the same person winning every day. *looks at Undead who has won practicially every time* I don't know if this is possible for you to code in but I feel if it CAN be that it would be a good addition to make things a bit more fair for everyone.

Trade offers should be taken off the Trade Center after a week. The place is all clogged up with offers from forever ago. /: People can repost them if they REALLY want to, but if no one responds after a week chances are no one's interested in that trade anyway.

I would understand this more if there were skill involved but as strength is entirely random a person who has never played the Bug Contest before has just as much chance of winning as someone who has won it 100 times before.
I can add the feature in if people want it but it really simply boils down to how much time you have to find the Pokémon with the highest strength and somebody who has won before doesn't have an advantage over others.
i'd like to see the garden from the original rpg to return on here through the berry growing feature, maybe give us a small patch of land and the more berries we successfully grow, the bigger patch of land you can get to grow berries. Could even add in the ability to get some wild pokemon depending on how big your patch of land is. Could also have different weather conditions or seasons for the garden which would affect what kinds of pokemon could be found in the garden.

That'd be kind of interesting. Though don't show the owner of the pokemon or their level or anything so theirs no playing favorites. Maybe have different catergories as well such as cute contest, cool contest, smart, tough, beauty, like in the games. I don't know it's just a thought
You know what I'd really love to see is something having to do with the trick house o.o like a puzzle or maze and if you figure it out you get a prize.
Yeah, Pokemon contests would be realy great! The pokemon levels could be used for more than self-satisfaction and Hall of Fame.
...But probably then we would stop clicking on others pokemon to make sure we win...
So maybe a contest with NPC trainers instead of contesting among ourselves?

No I didn't mean for levels to be a factor in the contest. That would make it unfair as, like you said, not only would people stop clicking other peoples pokemon whoever had the highest level on the site would always win. I meant it should be a vote, by the members, and things such as level, trainier, and such should not be a factor. Basically a popularity contest for the pokemon themselves for how well they fit in each catergory.
