How long does it take a rare berry to grow?

A rare berry takes 24 hours I believe, requiring watering every 6... why, do you HAVE a rare berry to grow?

GUYS! Starf Berries increase the chances of breeding a shiny if held by the mother. I LOVE IT!!! <3 <3 Getting up at 5am was worth it.
