I'm going to visit that cave a lot more now.

My Buneary has a happiness berry attached to it. And it didn't just hatch I switched out my egg for few minutes. I wish my egg would hurry up and hatch though, especially If it is going to hatch into what I think it will.

Edit: It didn't hatch into anything new just a Starly . Which means Starly can be got from the person who lost their egg in Faraway Cave.

GDI! The seeds I planted shrivled up and died. There wasn't even a warning that it was getting too dry.

You don't the scanner or the log.

Here's the deal. Plant a berry and wait one hour.

Has it changed appearance? If so, it's common. Water it and leave it. 4(?) hours later, it should be ready. If it's still a seed, wait another hour.

Has the seed grown yet? If so, it's uncommon. It takes 12(?) hours to be ready, but dies if you don't water it for 6 hours. However, if you water it within 30 minutes since the last time you did will kill it.

If it's STILL not ready, it's rare. 24 hours until it is ready. I only planted one once, but I remember that there needs to be at least a 2 hour gap from when you last watered it... but you need to water it before 6(?) hours pass since you last watered it or it'll die.

If you're not sure whether an hour has passed, like it might have been 59 minutes, make sure you wait a few minutes.

Until you get the log, you'll need to record the times yourself. Good luck.

there is an item called the 'berry scanner' which gives all the info above, and tells you want tyoe (common, uncommon or rare) - it takes a while to get though... good luck getting it!

Got the berry ledger so I'm able to keep track of the planting and watering. Thank's for the information though, VERY good to know.

EDIT: Also, is there anything like a perk or something that lets you see the strength of the pokemon in the bug catching contest?

There's an item called the Bug Scanner that you get from Bugsy when you visit him at the national park the day he's at the train station.

yeah, train station visitors change every day - so cynthia is there for the next 4 (ish) hours, then someone else will show up

i think there's 9 visitors off the top of my head, one's randomly chosen every day, but the same visitor cant show up 2 days in a row...
