considering i thought you had to have something attached to the pokemon in order to turn it shiny - you either had that attached, something went wrong, or there's just a random chance a pokemon will become shiny when its interacted with anyway

For reference, that's how the item is suppose to work, once attached to a pokemon, there is a chance of it becoming shiny when its interacted with... i didnt think it could be done without the item - only Roy will be able to say for sure on that one

I think it was holding something. I got a message saying that a berry thing made it shiny. I didn't catch all of it because I sort of panicked when I suddenly got a weird message and the pokemon changed color. Reaction of 'WHAT DID I DO?! D8 '

I wish I had an idea of the percent chance of getting shiny via enigma or starf berries.... then again, I'll just go the middle rout and have a kabuto with an enigma in my party and keep trying to breed a shiny. Best case scenario: I'll have two shiny kabutos. :3
