box delete
Warning! This is irreversible! Any Pokémon stored in this box will be moved to your default box when you delete it.
when editing a box that message pops up.
well i deleted a box that had some 5th gen pokemon in it (from when we were testing) and it did not move the pokemon in the box to my default box like the above message says it should.
It shows up that i still have the pokemon from the box when I try to set up a trade but i can't get to them to put them in my party since they are in a non existant box.
EDIT:
Using Trade i found my pokemon's IDs and used a pokemon from my box's link and changed the id to get my pokemon out of hte non existant box.

Re: box delete
You'll have to tell me where you got the 5th gen Pokémon from for me to fix the problem.
Re: box delete
i gto them into my default box by switch ids when taking pokemon out of my other boxes but i had recieved them from Blue (trading gen 1 pokemon for gen 5 eggs)Pikachu3828 wrote:You'll have to tell me where you got the 5th gen Pokémon from for me to fix the problem.

I deleted one of my boxes which at one point was my default box and I think it sent some pokemon to it even though it doesn't exist anymore...

I've placed the stranded Pokémon in your Waiting box. Thanks for the report, you may have just helped me narrow down and catch this box bug.Pocky4Life wrote:I deleted one of my boxes which at one point was my default box and I think it sent some pokemon to it even though it doesn't exist anymore...

Re: box delete
OK I have found the problem and have fixed it! I'll leave this topic open for now in case anyone reports any problems with it but basically the issue was I forgot to loop the statement which removes Pokémon from the box you're deleting. This meant it'd transfer one Pokémon over but ignore any others. Silly me

Re: box delete
While nothing horrible has happened YET, I wanted to point out something that MAY cause issues in the future. I just tested something with the ranch, and with an extra pokemon, and found a bit of a problem. When you remove a pokemon from the Ranch it goes back to the box it was in before being put in the Ranch, rather than your default box. If someone were to put a pokemon from one box into the Ranch, change the default box, and delete the old box that the pokemon that is now in the ranch was from, then take it out of the ranch it causes the pokemon to go to a 'non-existant' box...thus 'disappearing'. I've tested this myself with a pokemon with the number 13776. It's now gone. Hopefully this bit of information will be helpful from causing any heartbreak in the future...also plan to test this out with the breeding center later, just in case.

Re: box delete
Thanks for pointing out that the bug had not been fixed, Firefang. I have now placed your stranded Pokémon into your Test box 3 box. I have also caught this bug, tested it myself and fixed it so there should be no more stranded Pokémon when moving around/deleting boxes.

Re: box delete
No prob, Overlord! And I already told you the results of my test for the breeding center...indeed it broke.
Just to let others know what happened, I'll write down what happened: "Took the pokemon out of the breeding center and they aren't there. The egg goes to the default box but the parent pokemon go to the old box they were in, which no longer exsists. ID numbers were (Female Diglett) 14101 and (Male Swinub) 13958, if I wrote them down correctly."
So glad I could be of service to the AA!
EDIT: Ok have to redo the test...Overlord knows why but yeah I'm restarting the test

Re: box delete
As mentioned in the chat room, this happened because you deleted the box before the fix was applied. It will now not happen.

Re: box delete
As stated in the chat room/mirc, this was proven correct. The bug no longer exists and now egg and parent pokemon go to your default box as they should. ^_^
