that's because the pokemon.com website is now the main website for all regions, Europe included - and the content generally the same on all of them (i say generally, as some specific event related news will only show up on the specific regions site, rather than show for all) - since the videos we get to see are the same as the ones the american's get to see... i'm not that suprised it worked for you
