yeah, i just found the grass scroll after i asked the question - waiting for the egg to hatch...

I just got mine to 30 recently but maybe this will give it a bit of a boost and headstart for when I decide to shoot for 55.
So funny thing happened.
1. Needed to click someone's party for breeder exp.
2. Clicked on Random Pokémon Interaction.
3. Facepalmed at my own Turtwig staring me in the face.
This has happened to me several times before actually, obviously not with Turtwig, but still. *sigh* That awkward moment when the random pokemon generator gives you your own pokemon to click.
