It occurred again where I could not remove a pokemon and every attempt led to exp gain worth the amount of time it was in.
It was my Drowzee which had just turned level 24 but I admittedly checked 3 times within probably a 3 minute time period (8:50-8:53 or so ish pm Eastern US time) .
Not sure if that helps you pinpoint the bug any but that's all I got.

Re: Ranch Bug
I'm aware that the exp occurs if you take out a pokemon from the ranch but it fails to take the pokemon out - however i have no idea why your pokemon was not being removed from the ranch, i just tested this and mine was able to be removed fine.

Re: Ranch Bug
I know the bug has cropped up a few times but I tried to see if I could get any more possible information on it. It seemed to keep happening within a span of 3 minutes. Afterwards I could remove the pokemon fine and the exp reset itself. I only tried it three times so...I guess the information isn't really all that helpful, but I'm trying to give the most I can without knowing how the coding behind the site works.

Re: Ranch Bug
Something similar happened to me just now (apologies for the bad copying and pasting, especially on the last one):

I was able to take it out another time but it does seem, when it does happen, to happen within a time frame of 3 minutes.
