Ok, this may sound odd, but topics die naturally, you can't make them die. What is meant when people say a topic is dead is basically that people have not posted in it for a very long time. A topic "dies" when people lose interest in it and stop posting. You can't force people to stop posting in a topic to force the death of it, if that sounded, uh...right
