This is terrible, most half of that population were children under the age of 18, and there were families separated. I saw parents crying over their dead kids...

If you're on AOL, here's a Sri Lankan blog. Apparently the death toll could be twice the official estimate

I heard that Bill Gates donated 3,000,000 (3 million) dollars to the Red Cross, that was real nice of him,(No I don't want to hear any anti Microsoft blah blah either, =P)
anyways, if I believe the currency in the place that the tsunami hit(Asia, duh) is rupee's, and that 1 (Canada,US)dollar is worth more there, so that would help alot more.

WEll it is nice of him but I don't see any news like that. I still think some other people should donate too. Damn Japan for only donating 10 million US

That is quite sad. I almost cried when it showed that terrible event on the news. It's awful. But I heard that Canada donated a total of 40 million dollars today. That was really nice of everyone. I just hope that the spirits of those lost will find peace and everyone learns the punishment that comes from the Earth when we abuse it's resources and cause polution.

Or... it means that the earth is still alive. I respect any religious culture. Damn, I heard that where I live will have a tsunami in the next 200 years, bad news for Alaska,British Columbia,Washington,Oregon,California, etc.

I have heard disturbing news on the news that there's a strong chances that the tsunami's earth quake might hit my area. It was already in Mexico, 8 feet high too. So if the current of the tsunami is going North, that means bad news for British Columbia and all the other coastal areas like Alaska. I only wish I could help those who's families are gone.

You live around there too? I live in Surrey. I badly hope no tsunami tries to take my life! Besides, I still have things to do with my body, my life and my family and friends! But they're saying that the tsunami will only get worse. That under water earth quake caused the tsunami. Chances are, if another hits, it might be able to react to the tsunami and maybe even stop it or change it's direction.

They said it's worse than the one in Asia, that's what my mom said. (reading Sing Tao Daily) I'm living in RIchmond, really close to the dyke.
