Pokémon Pearl/Diamond predictions
Pokémon Pearl/Diamond are the next two games in the Pokémon RPG video game series. They are reported to be for the Nintendo DS, Nintendo's next generation handheld gaming system.
I was wondering what people think Pokémon Pearl/Diamond are going to be like, considering the power of the Nintendo DS over the Gameboy Advance. The Nintendo DS can fully handle 3D graphics now, and has a touch screen. How do you think Gamefreak (presuming they're the ones creating Pearl and Diamond) will utilise these features? Or perhaps they won't, like Ruby/Sapphire? Neither of those really pushed the GBA, which was dissapointing.
What would really be cool, in my opinion, is a fully 3D Pokémon world where you control your character in 3rd person, much like Pokémon Colosseum, but with better graphics, I don't like Colosseum's cartoony style on some of the characters
Proper sound would be nice, I don't know about the DS' audio system, but some more, "realistic" Pokémon sounds would be nice while walking through patches of wild grass and such.
How would they utilise the touch screen, though? And how are we going to capture the existing Pokémon in the new games? I've heard the DS can play GBA games, but can the DS and GBA connect? (Actually, can the DS and GC connect )

Maybe the top screen could be for the main game and the bottom screen would be for options and what not. Like in battles, the top screen could show the battle and the bottom screen would show the commands.
