pikmin vs pokemon

im starting to wonder if pokemon are like pikmin or if they would ever face off against eachother

Hmm, well you haven't really pointed this discussion in any particular direction so I'm going to do my best to see what you mean by this.

I guess the reason so many people link them together is just because their names are so similar. Pikmin and PokÃƒÂ©mon. Because really when you consider what each game is, they don't have that much in common. PokÃƒÂ©mon is a variety of monsters of all different shapes and sizes you capture, breed and battle against one another. Pikmin is a species of plants you grow in 5 different colours that you horde and throw at larger enemies. Granted, you battle in both, but in PokÃƒÂ©mon you pit one against one (or two against two) and use a variety of moves, the battle swaying depending on stats/types etc. In Pikmin you just simply throw as many as you can at one enemy. So aside the name I'm not really seeing that much of a connection.

good point but i am not exactly meaning it like that. im meaning it like who would win if pokemon where to go head to head with the pikmin at one time. (and the other part was could they live in peace together.)

it is called pikmin. it is a game where basically you are hit by a meteor and crash land on a planet inhabited by creatures who you name pikmin and they stay inside of what you call an onion and basically you and the pikmin need to find all of your ship parts ( or just 29 and not all 30) also it is fun in number 2 because you get 2 captains and 2 new kinds of pikmin

Pikmin is vaguely similar to Pokemon, in that you store Pikmin in Onions, while Pokemon go in Pokeballs, and you try to get more Pikmin/Pokemon. There's also the name, of course.

If Pokemon and Pikmin faced off, the Pikmin would be squished by whatever, and it would be no contest whatsoever...

pikmin is obviously different than pokemon because in each pikmin game, the casualty number is very high when in pokemon you can beat the game without a single pokemon fainted. Oh yes, Pikmin actually DIE when pokemon merely "faint".

Yeah, but the birth rate's high, too. In Pokemon, you can beat the Elite Four with just your starter. You can't beat a Pikmin game with one red Pikmin....

and besides pikmin can only attack using the leaves, buds, or flowers on their heads. but like what if there was a pikachu getting attack by thousands of yellow pikmin (immune to electrictity)

Ummm, remember, Pikmin are about 5 mm tall... If the Pikachu walked around a little, there would be lots of little yellow ghosts floating around.

Which is fairly obvious. Think of it as ants versus... umm... a Pokemon. The Pokemon would win unless there were millions of ants, then it would be ants, no contest.
