Without a doubt it will be the PS3 for me. I am not a Microsoft fan and did not like the original Xbox, however I am a Sony fan and got the PS2 the same year it was released. It's not to say I'm biased, I have played the Xbox and I admit it has superior graphics, but to me that's not what cuts it in a game. The PS2 has far superior games. Tekken for one is an awesome fighting game and me and my girlfriend have been known to play it for hours on end. It is a PS2 exclusive (and it still looks damn fine, the PS2 CAN display nice graphics) Another game is Grand Theft Auto. Sure Xbox players eventually get it, but who wants to wait? By the time the game is released for the Xbox I've already completed it for the PS2.
Granted those above reasons were based on the previous consoles, but another few reasons is I've seen some videos and seen the lineups for the two consoles and I still think the PS3 is far superior. Also, I don't know if this is entirely true or not, but from the statistics I've heard the PS3 is 35 times more powerful than the PS2 whilst the Xbox 360 is only 14-15 times more powerful than the Xbox (The Revolution only twice as powerful as the Gamecube)

I'm absolutely the opposite :lol: Big microsoft fan here, i admit that Sony had a bigger range of games available but Microsoft seem to have caught up on major title's wise. I think PS3 will have a wider range of games but not all of them will be of a decent quality. As for Tekken great game, i love it but i think Deod or Alive matches up with it! You should have a few games on DOAPikachu3828 wrote:Without a doubt it will be the PS3 for me. Also Bill Gates said himself that the software that Xbox 360 game producers use will cut the time it takes to make a game of around a third. Where halo 2 took over two years to make, Halo 3 is scheduled to be released in Spring 2006, this meaning that it will take 12-18 to make H3 from scratch.
Due to this i can see GTA been released earlier on Xbox 360 than PS3.
Saying that console developers like to exaggerate so we will have to wait and see which console will be superior!

* Ports and peripherals:
o Two USB 2.0 ports.
o No proprietary serial ports announced.
o Wireless controllers.
o A single proprietary output for video and audio.
o A dongle enabling DVD playback.
o 4 Gamecube controller ports and 2 Gamecube memory card ports (for compatibility).
o Optional USB PC-compatible 802.11b wireless router.
* Media:
o Slot loading optical disc drive capable of handling both 12 cm and 8 cm proprietary optical discs (again, for GameCube compatibility).
o 2 front loading SD memory card slots.
* Networking:
o Wi-Fi by the Broadcom Corporation:
+ Built-in 802.11b & 802.11g support.
o No Ethernet port.
* Final version is to be smaller than the presented E³ prototype.
Anyways Micro$oft sucks. I never liked it. The orignal X-Box is too big and huge. Xbox 360 looks like a messed up PS2. Thanks a lot Micro$oft for copying Sony. I have tried Xbox once and tried Halo. It wasn't bad. Who wants a lite version of Windows 2000 on their gaming system. Windows on a computer is bad enough. I have never tried some games, since I don't have the systems. Micro$oft sucks. If you heard someone say that Micro$oft rules, they are Micro$oft spies.

I'm definitly going to get the Xbox-360, Because of Halo. Not Just That, I just don't really like PS Games. Except GTA of course! Besides this, I'm not good as using a PS controller(pad, remote,watever u want to call it) anyway. I also think Xbox is best because you don't need to have a memory card.

If I got either system, it would probably be the PS3. Of course, the Xbox 360 will probably have better graphics, but the only good games I've ever heard of on Xbox is first person shooters(Halo), but I'm not a fan of first-person shooters. However, the PS2 had 2 of the better series of games mainly exclusive to it, Final Fanatsy, and Gran Tursimo. It has many other good games for it, but I can't think of them right now.

Seems to be a pretty even break at the moment, should be interesting to see what happens when they're both released

Personally I prefer Tekken over Dead or Alive, I've played both but I find Tekken's control system to be easier and more natural and the fighting more flowing.
