I know how to find a wild Squirtle. I don't know if it works in red or yellow but anyway,you will need a lower case r in your name. You'll also need to duplicate your master balls and defeat the Elite 4. Now do the MissingNo trick. Do not go to Seafoam islands. Go to Cinnabar islland instead. Keep surfing on half land half water. You'll find pokemon 'M's, Magnemite level 160 and with patience, you'll find a level 174 Squirtle. Use your master ball and you'll catch it! To get a Blastoise simply use 2 rare candys. Now go into a battle. Then your Blastoise will become back to level 100.
Note: This will not work every time. Have fun with you

It depends on your name in the game...
Have an smallcase r in your name and you will get Squirtle.

The Squirtle is pretty good. It has bite,withdraw,skull bash, and Hydro Pump. I got rid of withdraw by replacing it with surf.

I think I know why you got Squirtle.... You had an r in the 3rd letter and you can also get Magnemite because you have an n in the 5th letter. I think you might get Mewtwo because of the D in the first letter.

I have a capital D, OK? I would have found a level 132 Mewtwo already if I had a lower case D.

Lowercase d gets you a Ponyta. Uppercase D gets you a Mewtwo.

I didn't quite get the codes. Though useless to me because I no longer have my blue version, I constantly look for more cheats for in case I find the game again.(though I doubt it)

If I remember correctly they can go in the 3rd, 5th and the 7th slot of your name.
