Tales of Symphonia
Does anyone else have this game? I got it recently and am having a blast with it I'm just over 30 hours in and still on the first disc. I don't really know what else to say as I don't want to post any spoilers in case people read this who are playing it and are behind me.
Anyone else own/completed this game?

This is my favoritest game ever! ... Well... It's definitely safe to say that for GCN games... n_n;
I'm obsessed with ToS almost like how I'm obsessed with Animal Crossing: Wild World. o.o;
Anyways... =P
I've completed the game once, and am on my second playthrough... I'm working on filling in all the little question marks in the monster list, and getting all the items in the collector's book. (It take at the bare minimun, two playthroughs to get the monsters list completed, and three playthroughs to get the collector's book filled up.) @_@;
So... If you need anything, let me know! ... Or something. So... Where are you currently in the game? n_n;
Just to let you know, there's more of the storyline on the first disc, because the second disc is full of more cimatic scenes, and there's a few voiced scenes featuring Lloyd and each character (but you only see one per playthrough) so that takes up a lot of disc space, I guess. ^^;

You should have took some strong tape and tied your brother to a chair so you could play. u.u;
Or he could have at least let you fight too... I think it's awesome how you can have your friends control a party member in battles, but the camera focuses only on first player... But it's workable after you get used to it. ^^;
The battle system kind of reminds me of SSBMelee. "A" attacks are regular attacks, "B" attacks are special [tech] attacks... Stuff like that... Yeah...

I completed the game not so long ago, it took me just over 70 hours in total. I got about 92% of all the monsters and 95% of all the items. The game was great and all and I read about many people playing through it a second time (sometimes even more) but I just don't have the patience to do all that again. The game kept me gripped with its intruiging plot and many, many unexpected twists. Now I know what is coming I don't really have a desire to play it through again.

Awh... But... ... There's a "second" ending... It's not super different, but... You get to keep Kratos in your party 'til the end, so there's a few dialogue changes. And... It's Kratos! n_n (Kratos is my favorite character, so... Yeah. =P)
I'm curious what sidequests you've done... Some are...
The Book of Nephliem (sp?)
The Devil's Arms
The Expedition match
Beach Costumes
Formal Costumes
Misc Costumes

All of those except the colosseum.
*SPOILERS*
Also I prefered to keep Zelos, Kratos is cool and all but he does betray you and try to kill you.

He's part of the Cruxis, they tried to kill Colette and Kratos turned on you and fought you at the beginning. He betrayed and fought you a couple more times after that.

Well, yeah, Cruxis did want Colette to be Martel's vessel, but...
Kratos being a traitor doesn't mean he wanted to kill you. The first time at the Tower of Salvation, when you fight him, if you lose, he has the chance to finish off Lloyd, but doesn't. Maybe this is me being biased, or not, but you have to give him credit for helping Lloyd and the others through the game, like... Collecting the items for the Ring of the Pact for Origin and letting Lloyd have access to the chamber in the Tower of Salvation where Mithos was reviving Martel.
... Sorry for the rant there, but you made him sound like some random cold hearted assassin, and that made me steamed... ... Heh... ^^;

Heh no worries, but he himself says in game he and Lloyd are enemies and at some point you have a fight to the death over Origin. Kratos did hold back because he's Lloyd's father beforehand but he didn't then.

*SPOILERS*
He says that he and Lloyd are enemies when they join to shut down the mana reactor in the Iselia Ranch in a z-skit scene when you enter there. (I'm kinda obsessed. n_n; ) Anyways, he said that because he didn't feel like saying, "Son, I wish I didn't have to stick with Cruxis." Something like that would be totally out of character for him anyways... ._.;
As for Origin... I'm bad at explaining that, but... Kratos wanted to see Lloyd grow stronger, and if Lloyd beat Kratos, then... Well, that'd answer his question, right? ^^;
Kratos held back I'd think cause Lloyd wasn't strong enough earlier. *remembers "two swords are better than one" scene*
But Kratos recognized Lloyd as familiar the moment he met him, and confirmed it when Colette and the others went to visit Lloyd before Colette left for her journey the next day.
You catch more of this stuff a lot easier if you play a second time through, but I kinda remembered/para-memorized most of that anyways... n_n;

Hmm, yes, I should perhaps rephrase it from "wanting to kill you" to "being ordered to kill you", despite the fact he never truly obeys the order and in the end converts to Lloyd's ideology.

... At least that's a lot better... @_<;
*SPOILER*
Anyways... On the second disc, I think there's two or three scenes where you have a voiced scene with Lloyd and whichever party member has the highest "affection". Or something. Anyways... One of them, the easiest to see the most of, is the one at Flanoir. It's when Lloyd an three other party members stay at Flanoiro to wait for the others to come back from Altessa's place, and the three party members ask Lloyd if he'd like to see the snow with 'em. Have you just seen Colette's?
