Hey

My favourite Harvest Moon is probably the original for the SNES, though Friends of mineral Town is fun.

A Wonderful Life is in my opinion the worst Harvest Moon, it's too realistic and too hard to make money :-?

I haven't given much thought in it, but I might get the DS version.

If you own Friends of Mineral Town I wouldn't bother, from what I've read it is largely based off that rather than being a wholey original game. Then again, Friends of Mineral Town was based off of Back To Nature but there was a larger difference there (BTN being for PS1 and FOMT being portable)

Yeah, it does look like it will be the same. But I'm buying it anyways... Cause it looks funner and has a few challenges, unlike Friends of mineral town..(After you have a kid there's not really a point of playing x_x)

I've only played Another Wonderful Life, but my file got erased when my memory card corrupted, so I haven't bothered to start another file up cause I'm kinda discouraged. >_x;

Anyways... It annoyed me to death watering my crops on that game... Is it that hard to be sure you water your crops instead of, say, a patch of dirt, or a crop you already watered on the other Harvest Moon games? @_@
I drop by every now and then... I shall never be just a memory! *cackles*
... Not back to the regularly scheduled thread... ^^;

I like planting stuff.. You get a lot of money ^_^. And in the other harvest moon games it isn't really easier.. It's smaller and harder to see, but it's not that hard ^_~

No, all the other Harvest Moon games (don't know about the PS2 or N64 version, they were never released over here) are quite clear when showing the difference between watered and un-watered tiles.

I think AWL was the first, if not one of, to use soil qualities. Before you just had a large field to till wherever you wanted. Now the different dirt patches have different colours, some of which are harder to see if they're wet or dry than others.

Oh, and on another note, watering crops is generally much harder in AWL than previous Harvest Moons, they made it too realistic, I read in AWL the best way to make money and the way most people do is to just sell crop seeds rather than grow the crops themselves, it's just that hard now and not worth it.

Hm... I'd have to say my favorite of the series is BTN (which I restarted after I figured out how to use the emulator to run it on the comp)... i've played pretty much every version up to AWL, after that it's kinda gettin weird and haven't kept up :-?

But as far as the money thing goes in AWL, plant a couple of fruit trees and turn the fruit into seeds...makes a ridiculously large amount of money
