Ash's Dad?

Probably Giovanni or Lance,
And remember in Fire red/Leafgreen the guy in 5 island says
" Wait.. are you Giovannis son? oh that cant be Giovannis son has red hair "
so yeh they could have made a mistake in Red hat or took Red as Ash.

I have some info.
In the very first episode Ash's mum (Mom in American) says:
"Your dad *WOULD* be so proud."
And parhaps the person in the next movie that looks eerily like ash's dad is his
dad, but maybe something happened to him, such as Unown using Time/Space
displacements, after all, it's not the first time this has happened. (Pokemon 3)
So, my theory is that ash's dad might have been messing around with Unown
and he disappeared without a trace to somewhere or sometime different.

However, I think that guy from the picture also looks like Mystery Man/Cipher
admin Ardos of Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness for Nintendo Gamecube.

This may give us something to think about. We could be getting ever closer to
seeing whatever happened to his dad. I don't really know, but this explanation would explain a lot on why we never saw Ash's mystery man of a dad.
