that is exactly why they need to make Pikachu battle Groudon, Kyogre, or Dugtrio.

Kyogre and Groudon are more powerful than a pikachu (stat wise)

Dugtrio is faster than pikachu (stat wise)

Yes now theres a tactical reason here. Well you could say Deoxys is faster/defensive/offensive more than Pikachu.

They lose alot more than you'd initially think. Its just so rare that if you miss those eps thats fine. The only reason he wins alot of battles is that his only opponents are Team Rocket. What else can you expect?
