How do you download games?

LAN is Locan Area Network right?
So how do you download games with that?
Can someone explain indepth?

Several games include a multi-player, single cart option. Using DS to DS (also refered to as LAN or Ad-Hoc), you can play multiplayer games with 2 (to 4) DS' yet only one game cart.

How this works: On the cart owners side, s/he selects the option to multi-player with one cart... this is different for each game and the instruction manual should be refered to for each one.

On the other player(s) side: Booting up the DS with no carts arrives you at the main menu (you will see this normally if you havent selected load game on powerup). Usually there are four main buttons, DS cart at the top, GBA at the bottom, Pictochat on the center left and DOWNLOAD on the center right... clicking this will make it search for something to download, once finding something it'll download and instal it, allowing you to play. This is also how you would download from a Demo Station...

Thanks WK_WC, So thats why theres an option on New Super Mario bros. saying " Play with a firend whos hasn't got New Super Mario Bros. "
