yes, the only shiny i ever had was a Shiny wailmer. (I was actually looking for horsea at that time.) it was lv.41 and pink. Caught it, rare candied it, now pink Wailord.

my brother's wurmple evolved into a silcoon and it was a light pink. when it evolved again into a beautifly, you could barely tell the difference from a normal beautifly. there is a difference, though.

I got a shiny Zigzagoon. And I actually caught it instead of the Berry Glitch thing. (I got the fix with a Jirachi instead!)

Where do u find shiny pokemon? And how did you get Jirachi?

Can't get Jirachi by normal means. Anyway,
once i hatched a magby and it's arancione! (Orange) The magma I bread it from was not shiny, either!
Oh and I got a shiny staryu, but I forgot what colour, and who could forget the red gyarados in g/s/c! I called mine Redados! ^_^

You can get them anywere you find pokemon but you only have a 1/8100(or something like that) chance of running into a shiny . Oh whats weird is missingno can be shiny to!
