This isn't for capturing shadow lugia so don't ask I just used the master ball.
now onto what this is about.
How to purify Shadow Lugia
First go to the Purify chamber.
Make all 9 sets tempos max (It would help some people for a guide on that but i haven't play in a while so i forgot who i used).
Then put Lugia in any of those sets and it should say something like "Lugia is ready to be purified"
Then do the purifying thing and then it should be purified.
there that is how to purify him (then you can trade him onto r/s/fr/lg/e and show off to friends
XD lugia

The first, and main, thing about tempo is pokemon type. You have to place 4 pokemon inside a tempo set. When each pokemon is better than the one that follows it (the tempo flows clockwise, so it goes from top left to top right to bottom right to bottom left and back to top left).
So you need a type advantage from one pokemon to get a better tempo, and for a maximum tempo you need a type advantage around the whole circle like:
Electric -> Flying -> Grass -> Ground
Electric types are Super Effective against Flying types
Flying types are Super Effective against Grass types
Grass types are Super Effective against Ground types
Ground types are Super Effective against Electric types
With multipule type pokemon, like Tropius for example, who is both grass and flying, it factors in both types just like the game does. So while Electric is super effective against Flying, it's poor against Grass types, so Tropius wouldnt go in the flying part of our example. However flying types are normal affective against other flying types, So against a Tropius it would still be super affective and thus could go in the grass section.
In the end, you need to just keep experimenting and checking the tempo bar, the flashing tempo bar as you hover a pokemon over a position will rise or fall, and you can use this to place pokemon in certian points.
