A lot of members posting on the forums?

I actually did this out of boredom. Checked, via post total posts and have discovered this so far.

Member Posts

So, I checked and found this out!

Members with 0 posts = 2244 members(75 pages worth
" " 1 post = 272 (or basically)(7 pages worth)
" " 2 posts = 117 (3 pages worth)
" " 3 posts = 62 (3 pages worth)
And stopping there. What shocks me is the amount with 0 posts, and some of these members have been around, there account, since 2004.

Umm, so makes me wonder did they join and not get on the forums? The forums just that unimportant? Or did they join, but never do anything on the site, or did they join, not get on the forums, and actually played the RP, for a bit, but then decided its just not that interesting.

Also, explains why this place is so quiet. -hears self's echoes-

I'm guessing the latter - played the RP, either constantly or just for a few days and then disapeared into obscurity.

Here's something else to check, find out how many accounts have exactly 25 posts... I'm betting it's a fair few.

Funny, as I was logging in just now I looked at the total posts and couldn't believe it. I logged in this morning and it was around the 69,400 mark and as I just logged in now at 6pm it's around the 69,670 mark. That's over 200 posts today alone

As for the members with 0 posts...I do try to purge the database of inactive users every so often but I can only do that of users who never activated their accounts, ie didn't click the activation link in the email they got sent when they joined. Accounts that are activated but have 0 posts I cannot do anything about, people are under no obligation to use the forums.

I admit, i joined cuz you guys had a great roelplaying forum. And you dont find that on to many forums. But people can never seem to acutally start the RP. so that makes me think that people on this forum are boring and dont post. But i always keep comeing back. People just join because they are bord. But its not just this forum, other forums as well including mine. but what can you do? xD

Maybe purging people who haven't come on in 2 years might be a good idea. I'm not sure why anyone won't come on here and enjoy the forums. It's great!.

BTW, I seems to make up 1/6th of the forums messages :O

It's a good idea, however I dont think the system actually logs when a user last logged into his/her account. Which means that we wouldnt know who hasnt been here for 2 years or who was on just the other day but just plays the RPG
