Mario & Sonic at the Olympics - REVIEW!

Post by lauzaroo »

Surely this is THEE best new game to hit us since Super Mario Allstars on SNES???

Only had this game since tuesday, but already completely and utterly addicted. I just can't get enough. Amazing graphics, amazing variety of games to compete in, a very wide and varied choice of characters (and best of all, you can even take your own Mii character to the olympics!!!!), amazing sound effects, and most of all, immense amounts of fun.

Think about all the chocolate you could give the worlds hugest chocolate lover, or all the shoes and handbags you could give to your mother, imagine all the sports memorbillia and alcohol beverages your dad could ever wish for, or just imagine all your birthdays and christmas's just came at once! That's seriously how much fun and enjoyment i'm getting from Mario & Sonic at the Olympics.

My favourite games so far are deffinately Long Jump, and 100m Swimming.. However all of the mini games have become highly addictive and entertaining wether playing by myself, with friends, or even with the family!

Suitable for all players at all levels, i'd say this game is without doubt a MUST buy... and if you're too skint to buy it now, deffinately add it to your Christmas Wish List!!!

Mario or Sonic?? Whichever team you're on, you're gauranteed to have hours and hours of fun, entertainment, laughter and giggles, and a lot of competing!!! If the game entered the olympics, without a doubt it'd be miles ahead of everyone else and straight in with the GOLD!!!

It's a clean sweep for Mario & Sonic at the Olympics, they've cleared every gold and even won trophy for top game of the millenium!!

I considered getting the game but I heard some mediocore reviews about it and as a party game I don't really have much use for it, single player modes aren't usuaully their strong point and so stacked up against other single player games like Metroid Prime 3 I'm more likely to get that.

I have it, for an Olympics game its amazing, the control system is different from button bashing, but somethings still take a while to get good at, like running (i still have problems staying ahead of the pack in that one)

couple of Random character choices on Sonic's side of the fence, but it is a nice mix of people, and each person has a specialist skill, so while Sonic is good at speed, someone like Princess Peach is good at the Specialist games (archery)... not that it effects much of the game.

its good to see all the sonic/mario cameos in the back ground - as a fan of sonic and mario for a long time (longer fan of mario that sonic), its great to see all this stuff. and you can learn some facts about the olympics themselves.

For a Licenced title (both olympics and Mario sports), this is a good game. Unfortunatly it is better Multiplayer than Single Player, and while it does have the Wi-Fi logo on the front of the box, it's only a leader board table of times, would have been better to wi-fi compete against other people.

Deffinately agree with the wi-fi part, but i ave to say that's the pnly critisism i can give this game.

The graphics are great, and it's deffinately a great laugh to play multi-player. I love playing it buy myself though too, being a really competetive person i like beating my own personal best records =]
