What a way to kick this off, with a Fighting type gym. And if you're not ready for a fight, LordLucario123 will destroy you quickly and your journey through our Pokémon league is over. LL123 is a no nonsense kind of guy, and is always ready for a fight. His Pokémon are always just as ready. In order to get to the leader though, you'll have to pass through his maze of boulders. You won't have the ability to use strength yet, but thankfully these are light enough to move without them. Of course, like any boulder puzzle, only pushing them in the correct places will allow you to move on, fight trainers (or block some of them off from battling you) and ultimately reach LordLucario123
His Machop starts things off, usually using Leer to lower your Pokemon's defence, leaving it wide open to its other attacks. Seismic Toss, Rock Smash and Karate Chop are all strong fighting type moves, and you're going to be feeling all of them pretty soon.
Hitmonchan is the most impressive of the set, Ice Punch and Thunder Punch dealinbg Ice and Thunder damage respectivly, which is nice to see in an otherwise Fighting type dominated move sets. And since Flying Types are probably going to be your most common form of attack for this gym, that Thunder Punch is going to be really dangerous.
Machoke is deadly with both Mega Punch and Focus Punch, as they are both really powerful moves. Your speed over Machoke is what's going to help you win this match, as you don't stand a chance when you get hit with those two moves. Of course, with Quick Attack in his set, he's got some speed of his own, and Seismic Toss is just as painful as always.
Hitmontop will be tough to beat, with Rapid Spin and threekick moves, he's going to hurt you a lot. Since High-Jump kick can hurt the user if it misses, don't worry about it too much. Mega Kick on the other hand is super painful, even at these low levels. Low Kick is for the back up of the other two.
Machamp is the last Pokémon LL123 has to use, and it's a powerful one at that. Strength, while not that powerful, is to use something other than fighting moves, although at this point in your journey you won't have too wide a variety of types for it to matter much. You'll have encountered Mega Punch, Focus Punch and Karate Chop in other Pokémon so far, and the bad news is they won't hurt any less with Machamp. The worse news is that with higher stats, they'll hurt a lot more. With no hope of catching a Ghost type this early in you travels, and you're very unlikely to have a Psychic move, you'll have to rely on Flying types for this gym. It won't be easy, but then this is The Pika Club's Pokémon League. Did you really think it would be easy?
