AnnekaLily looks like she just came from a posh party playing some kind of Waltz or Symphony Number 5 or something. That might be why she looks a little angry. A little insiders tip, AnnekaLily is all about 2 things, Rock and Metal. And it shows in her choice of Pokémon too. 2 Rock Based, 2 Steel based and Larion and Aggron being a combo of both.
Larion kicks off the battle with a nice vaired move set. Body Slam is a Normal type move that can inflict paralysis while Rock Tomb is a Rock type move that should always lower the opponents Speed when it does damage. This is helpful for Larion as it will usually be slower than its opponent, so this will even up the odds. Metal Sound will lower the opponents Special Defence if it feels threatened, mainly by a Fire type so that Water Pulse hurts that little bit harder.
Onix is deadly here. Rock Slide and Earthwauke hurt... a lot (and Rock Slide can also inflict flinching). Dragonbreath won't be resisted against unless the opponent is part Steel (and Earthquake will take care of those) Double-Edge is one of the most powerful moves in the game and (insiders tip) since this Onix has the Rock Head ability, it isn't hit by the recoil damage Double-Edge usually dishes out. You'll want to take this one out - fast.
Lunatone will boost its Defence and Special Defence with Cosmic Power first, before releasing a Sandstorm to slowly take your health down. The idea is to make the battle as long as possible. In between Cosmic Powers and Sandstorms, it can either hit you with Psychic or Rollout, depending on if it needs to use a Psychic or Ground move.
Steelix, the evolved form of Onix. Iron Tail and Crunch are self explanatory, both are painful attacks with a chance to lower your Defence when it hits. Harden will raise its own Defence to make it stay in the battle longer, and Dig will allow it not to get hit for a turn, making it stay in the fight even longer.
Metagross can, and will, boost both its Speed with Agility and Defence with Iron Defence. Meteor Mash is a strong Steel move, but its accuracy isn't the best. Psychic on the other hand will hury unless you're a Psychic, Steel or, preferably, Dark type.
Aggron may look tough... well forget all that looks can be deceiving, it is tough. Iron Tail and Mega Punch are there to deal damage, Thunderbolt will take out any annoying Water types, Earthquake takes out all the fire, and Electric types (since Electric is normal effective on both Steel and Rock, and anything that's normal effective on Steel is worth using against it), so it then only needs to watch out for the Fighting and Ground types... Whoops, did I say that out loud?
Upon beating AnnekaLily, half of the Elite 4 are down. Unfortunatly half are to go, and it's the tougher half as well
