New Abilities

On this page you’ll find all the new abilities introduced in Black/White and what they do. This list includes all the new abilities known only by Deam World Pokémon. In Future we plan to have a list of all Pokémon who learn these abilities and if its in game or dream world only

Analytic: Strengthens moves when moving last.
Big Pecks: Protects against Defense drops.
Contrary: Inverts stat modifiers.
Cursed Body: Has a 30% chance of Disabling any move that hits the Pokémon.
Defeatist: Halves Attack and Special Attack below 50% HP.
Defiant: Raises Attack by two points upon having any stat lowered.
Flare Boost: Increases Special Attack to 1.5x when burned.
Friend Guard: Decreases damage inflicted against friendly Pokémon.
Harvest: Restores any held Berry after the turn on which it is used. If it needs to use it immediatly, it will not be able to be restored again.
Healer: Has a 30% chance of curing each adjacent ally of any major status ailment after each turn.
Heavy Metal: Doubles the Pokémon’s weight.
Illusion: Takes the appearance of the last conscious party Pokémon upon being sent out until hit by a damaging move.
Imposter: Uses Transform upon entering battle.
Infiltrator: Ignores Light Screen, Reflect, and Safeguard.
Iron Barbs: Damages attacking Pokémon for 1/8 their max HP on contact (same as Rough Skin ability).
Justified: Raises Attack when hit by dark-type moves (but is not immune to dark-type moves).
Light Metal: Halves the Pokémon’s weight.
Magic Bounce: Reflects most non-damaging moves back at their user.
Moody: Raises a random stat by two points and lowers another by one point after each turn.
Moxie: Raises Attack one stage upon KOing a Pokémon.
Multiscale: Halves damage taken when at full HP.
Mummy: Changes attacking Pokémon’s abilities to Mummy on contact.
Overcoat: Protects against damage from weather.
Poison Touch: Has a 20% chance of poisoning a Pokémon upon contact when attacking.
Prankster: Raises non-damaging moves’ priority by one stage.
Rattled: Raises Speed by one point upon being hit by a Dark, Ghost, or Bug type move.
Regenerator: Heals for 1/3 max HP upon leaving battle.
Sand Force: Strengthens the attack power of Rock, Ground, and Steel moves to 1.3x during a sandstorm. Also makes the Pokémon immune to sandstorm damage regardless of its type
Sand Rush: Doubles Speed during a sandstorm.
Sap Sipper: Absorbs [Grass]{type} moves, raising [Attack]{mechanic} one [stage]{mechanic:stat modifier}.
Sheer Force: Any moves with extra effects have their attack power bosted to 1.3x, but their effect chances are reduced to 0.
Telepathy: Protects against damaging moves from friendly Pokémon.
Teravolt: Makes moves ignore targets’ abilities if they could hinder or prevent them.
Toxic Boost: Increases Attack to 1.5x when poisoned.
Turboblaze: Makes moves ignore targets’ abilities if they could hinder or prevent them.
Unnerve:Prevents opposing Pokémon from eating held Berries.
Victory Star: Raises moves’ accuracy to 1.1x for friendly Pokémon.
Weak Armor: Raises Speed and lowers Defense by one point each upon being hit by any move.
Wicked Thief: Steals attacking Pokémon’s held item on contact.
Wonder Skin: Has a 50% chance of protecting against non-damaging moves that inflict major status ailments.
Zen Mode: Changes Darumanitan to daruma mode below 50% max HP.
