New Pokémon Wii Game Announced

Sorry about the lack of updates to the news blog recently, amongst thinking I posted something earlier but didn’t (see the end of this post for more on that), I’ve been a bit busy. However, do look for a new competition in the general chat section of the forums this Sunday (18^th)

Nintendo officially announced a new Pokémon Wii game today. Poképark Wii: Pikachu’s Big Adventure see’s the most famous Pokémon roaming around a giant amusement park called the Poképark. Pikachu will want to have a go on some of the rides, but unfortunately, a lot of the rides require Pokémon abilities Pikachu just doesn’t possess. The Marine Slider game needs a Pokémon who’s good at swimming to fully enjoy it, and only a flying Pokémon can partake in the Habataki Sky Race.

So what’s a yellow mouse Pokémon to do? Well make friends of course. By teaming up with other Pokémon that are visiting the park, you’ll be able to play mini games with them to become friends, allowing you team up and take on the rides. Mini games include playing a game of tag, battling your soon to be friend, and taking part in a quiz, answering questions on Pokémon.

Being able to take pictures in game and save them to an SD card (and possibly send them to your Wii friends) and with graphics far better than the likes of Pokémon Ranch or Pokémon Rumble (we’ll try and get some pictures for you soon), this looks to be a good, fun title for the Wii. Poképark Wii: Pikachu’s Big Adventure will be released in Japan on December 5^th. No details about an English release yet.

As for the next piece of news, I was sure I updated with this, but it seems like I haven’t. Sorry. Anyway, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky has been given a European release date of November 20^th. The third Mystery Dungeon game on DS, recently released in the US, features some additional maps, starters and partners from the previous two instalments, plus some other updated features.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon WiiWare games dated

The 3 Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games due to hit WiiWare have just been given a release date of 4 August in Japan. They cost 1,200 Wii points each.

Each game goes under the ‘Pokemon Mystery Dungeon’ franchise but their subtitles are thus: Keep Going! Blazing Adventure Squad! / Let’s Go! Stormy Adventure Squad! / Go for It! Light Adventure Squad!

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky dated

The 3rd Pokemon Mystery Dungeon instalment, Explorers of Sky, has been given a release date for the United States according to GameStop. Like Platinum is to Diamond and Pearl, Explorers of Sky is a revist to the games of Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness and features most of the same game. Improvements and additions to the game include 6 additional starters to chose from, new areas to explorer including Destiny’s Tower and Shaymin village, and then there are additional missions inbetween the main storyline, you’ll be able to play as some Non Playable Characters in special missions to learn more about them.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorersof Sky will be released on October 1st acording to GameStop. However since this is a thursday, and games in the US are usually released on a tuesday, it could change. Nintendo of Europe recently released their Q3 release schedule (which goes up to the end of September) and the new PMD game isn’t listed, so there’s no date for europe yet.

Even More Pokemon WiiWare

As reported here the other day, rumours have been abound as to whether the three Myster Dungeon WiiWare games were real or if the scan was a photoshot fake. Today, the Official Japanese Pokemon Site officially announced the 3 games are coming to WiiWare in Japan. The games are titled Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Keep Going! Blazing Adventure Squad!, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Let’s Go! Stormy Adventure Squad! and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Go For It! Light Adventure Squad!

Nothing else is known about these games for now, we’ll let you know when it is known.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon packed headed to WiiWare?

We’ve got to thank GoNintendo.com for this news. There has apparently been a magazine scan floating around the Internet which suggests that three PMD games might be headed to Wiiware sometime in the future in the form of a bundle.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky at E3

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky made an appearance at E3 in the form of a video, box art and a release date.

The game, released in Japan on 18 April 2009, has been given a release date of Autumn 2009, which presumably is for North America. No word on a European release date yet.

As soon as a video surfaces, it will be uploaded to our YouTube account and added to this post.

New Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorer of the Sky information

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky Box Art

The May issue of CoroCoro magazine has revealed some new information about the next game in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon franchise. Two missions and information on Shaymin and Arceus have been revealed.

Shaymin

Shaymin has been confirmed as available after players complete the game. Players will be taken to Shaymin’s Village from Spinda’s Café where they will meet a new exploration team called Frontier, consisting of Machoke, Breloom and Mawile. Shaymin will then escort the two parties to the Sky’s Summit dungeon where players can obtain an item called the Sky’s Present.

Arceus

Arceus features in a dungeon called Destiny’s Tower and involves an item called Time-Space Orb. No other information is known at present.

Information about the two missions is as follows:

Discovering the past of Team Charm ( Featuring Medicham, Lopunny, Gardevoir)
Sunflora from the Wigglytuff Guild must find a Haunter being hunted down by the police.

Brand New TPC News Blog

The 4^th version of The Pika Club’s website has been in development for a while now, and it’s still in development. This is not v4, just to clear things up. However, while we wait for development for v4 to finish, we’ve thought we’d put something kind of content for people to view.

So here’s our News Blog. In it, we’ll try to bring you all the latest news that’s going on in the Pokemon world… like when Pokemon Platinum will be released in America (March 22^nd) and Europe (TBA), about the new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game announced (Explorers of the sky, due out sometime this Spring in Japan, no release plans for other regions), new Trading Card Game set, called Platinum, being released 11^th February, and the 11^th movie, Giratina and the Sky Warrior being released on DVD in America in spring (no specific date yet. Also don’t bother asking for European release dates, we’re still waiting for the 7^th movie to be released over here)

Well, they’re just a few examples of the kind of news we hope to bring.
